today's price action has practically "eaten" the divi now.

This highly prosperous and successful company remains on a very modest multiple.

A company with no debts is not going bust. Last time I looked it had a good land bank and 1Bn in cash. It has enough money to deliver its own shared equity scheme post HTB.

Porsche its gone ex divi for 38p.You also called it at 120p last year and we are still waiting.Don't know when this was ever 12 quid but the lowest was around 40p.

Not holding having sold a while ago at 617p so missed the rise to 650p.I sold a few others DLG among others to cash up for the supposed impending gloom. Some times it pays off some times not. With hindsight i may just as well held everything up to now.

Jeez this really goes down the shxtter on ex dividend, Woodford about to become a forced seller too which wont help either. Biggest risk apart from brexit meltdown is Labour Gov and the ending of the daft help to sell scheme which is propping all these up, without that these are back to sub 4 quid. Last recession from 12 quid to .98p in 18 months, before anyone starts trying to give me a lecture.

just bought in for the dividend, but reading the results makes formidable reading and excellent prospects for the future....may stay a while..

Well if the share price didn't drop after the dividend I'd buy up as much as I could, take the dividend and then sell for a risk free profit.

So yes all other things being equal the share price will drop by the amount of the dividend.

I expect it will drop, but then hopefully recover.

Yes. Do you expect a large drop in share price straight after?

I am unsure how many people I think will be considering dropping after ex-div, due to Brexit related uncertainty.

Results were excellent though.

and what is the yield here now? the best part of 8% ?

the forward sales looked great too.

Am not invested here but find the market reaction obtuse.

Todays reaction to a truly stunning set of results illustrates the nervousness in the market over the housing market and the builders. I expect there to be more cost inflation than they can pass on but the margins currently are way beyond anything previously thought achievable so does it really matter. And demand for new houses will hold up whatever
