08/2/2016 17:59 | Indolent Exuberance! down 6% on the Dow. | gotnorolex
08/2/2016 17:54 | "But while the FTSE may have plunged, one of the upsides of lower share prices is that dividend yields have leapt up on many of these shares." | oliversanvil
08/2/2016 17:51 | Don't disagree, I'm the biggest bear here, for instance the UK Housing market is toast! However I don't believe that this is the end, the UK government/ Central Bank shall step up to the mark as they did last time, in the US too. BARC did reach 55p last time, but were not there for long, they did require a bail out, although not from the UK Government. Like I said in my previous post, I'm not suggesting that this is the bottom, but these shares are already cheap when you consider the past 5 years. It shall be interesting to hear what comes out of the results!! | neilrich
08/2/2016 17:48 | seball, seriously good luck to you mate. | aussiedonnie

08/2/2016 17:44 | "Share prices are falling but the UK banks now have the reserves they need to function as a bank. It is the people who make money through the stock exchange causing all the problems. " | oliversanvil
08/2/2016 17:39 | I remember 8 years ago Barc trading as low as 55p intra day !!! So £1.50 or under cannot be discounted. | oakville
08/2/2016 17:29 | Oh dear oh dear Here we are again,, "It is way too cheap", "bad new is already in"..I thought this was cheap at 2.00.. LOL Yes, we can all close our eyes to the rest of the world and hope for a swell ride.Once again the jaded but unbowed financial and economic establishment are in stupid denial. The establishment has made every effort to hide the fundamentals from the public through far reaching misrepresentations of economic stats. Therefore one need to absorb the reality that the global economy is indeed witnessing a vast crisis scenario and acknowledges real numbers over fraudulent numbers...as a result it is impossible to find out what is the true valuations..What is cheap?.. Nothing is cheap until Dow gets smack down to 9000.. | savogi
08/2/2016 17:10 | I'd agree, these are too cheap, any bad news is already priced in. Not saying that these won't go any lower, but looking at the five year graph it seems silly not to buy at these levels. | neilrich
08/2/2016 17:06 | This share is way to low , people need to fill there boots. There's money to be made here ..... | peppypants
08/2/2016 16:44 | Maybe at 125p in April, Cel. :) | leeson31
08/2/2016 16:41 | Not sure Alphorn as the mkts can stay irrational for a long time. I'd say don't fight the trend and certainly don't go big with leverage. The big bucks are made with the early turns but who is brave enough to plough in? | celeritas
08/2/2016 16:29 | This ain't China lol | mbmiah
08/2/2016 16:17 | Trading halted in BARC? | npp62

08/2/2016 15:22 | Agreed; that was not so in 2008/9 when posters remained bullish until the last. What does that mean??? | alphorn
08/2/2016 15:18 | The advfn threads are very bearish and have been for a long time now. Every man and his dog seem to be riding the bear. | celeritas
08/2/2016 15:06 | This could also easily be £2.20 after results. Results expected to be strong. Looking forward to dividend. Good luck | seball |
