10/2/2017 21:22 | Everything, well not quite everything, depends on whether China is taking the first step in an attempt to destroy bitcoin or is just sorting out bad aspects of it. I see it is climbing quite steeply again. | alexx
10/2/2017 17:19 | mixed news regarding BTC in China, not all exchanges have stopped withdrawals, but it is a process that requires lengthy auditing. hxxp://www.coindesk. | random
10/2/2017 16:25 | recent drops haven't put the bull out of wack. true Chinese hot money (maybe miners) have moved to western exchanges (probably) but upward movement over all not effected as of yet. translation suggests it was to wash out longs. | mcbeanburger
10/2/2017 15:06 | Don't get me wrong, I think BTC and the top alts are great, but if other countries follow the example of China, they may become ineffective as a means of capital flight. On the positive side, smart Chinese can still obtain BTC by mining, but I suspect the mechanics of large scale mining (of any coins, particularly BTC), are complex enough to prevent all but the most determined? OTOH it makes gold more attractive ... that exit is still open in China. | random
10/2/2017 15:02 | Not sure if they sold more spad. I know they took some profit near the recent highs. I am assuming the China bull run will unwind almost completely, i.e btc trading back in the £550-£65 The failure to take out the previous high can be seen in two ways ... either we have a very bearish chart, with a lower high, or we will get spike double top, with either a breakout or a big down move following. | random
10/2/2017 14:26 | my guess retest the recent drop - I've got orders near the bottom. sold most of my position over night. this is based on the 4hr chart - which is open to moving higher here @ 911 euro. if she does i'll join it. nothing to say it won't go right back up to where the drop started. in fact i'm assuming it. the rest is semantics. | mcbeanburger
10/2/2017 13:35 | where's the bottom mcbean, what do the tea leaves say? | spadman
09/2/2017 22:02 | lolz - i'm long now. humility in trading and in life does help. | mcbeanburger
09/2/2017 20:14 | random I take it your friend ignored your advice to sell just above $1100 and sold before btc went down today? random3 Feb '17 - 12:01 - 2024 of 2072 0 0 Trading plan issued :-) ... thanks for the charting McB, it helped me form the plan. (Not that they will necessarily listen ... I issued a sell just above $1100 and they said "I want to hold on forever" ;-) .. They don't know any TA ... but they do know the mechanics of trading. | spadman
09/2/2017 19:29 | they don't know any TA, and ask me for signals, so I give them. They don't always like what they hear! | random
09/2/2017 19:06 | random, does your trader friend always allow your trifling knowledge to influence him? | spadman
09/2/2017 16:23 | A similar event, yes. Not quite as extreme, but it could have the same effect. My trader friend will sell some more once they have finished what they are doing. | random
09/2/2017 15:21 | reminds of when silver went sell only, 1980? | alexx
09/2/2017 14:54 | Indeed. It leaves a lot of BTC on the exchanges, essentially liquidate only. | random
09/2/2017 14:48 | random - that sounds pretty bad news, I mean because temporary often means permanent. Still, never expected a slow and steady move up. | alexx
09/2/2017 14:41 | Thanks again for the post McB, my friend took a little profit into the highs. | random
09/2/2017 13:36 | bought some back | alexx
09/2/2017 13:32 | panicked out again - just as well - again a decent profit | alexx
08/2/2017 08:56 | march 11 deadline, may or may not be approved. I thought it was buy the rumour sell the news. looks like you sold a month too early lol | spadman
08/2/2017 02:36 | Btw if folks haven't the hot news is the pending btc etf is driving the price. As before sell the news. | mcbeanburger
08/2/2017 02:32 | In the land of the blind..... | mcbeanburger
08/2/2017 01:10 | Its not as if everyman and his dog hasn't tried to replace btc ;) | spadman
08/2/2017 01:09 | In theory bitcoin may fail to adapt, but it wont, in theory bitcoin can be replaced, but it wont be. | spadman |
