For bitcoin to make a notable impact 100k is a starting point, anything below that you would still have to consider it a niche.

interesting - have to admit I didn't see any significant rise coming given normal cyclical blow offs.

I think ultimately there is a "chance" it will spike to a price many times higher than 500.

Bitcoin on the up, strong rally, a chance of a return to a spike situation, 400, 500?

Barclays set to become first UK high street bank to accept bitcoin as it starts taking charity donations in the virtual currency

The company is set to partner with a 'bitcoin exchange', or spending platform on which the currency is traded, has two bitcoin 'labs' in London and works with start-ups looking at bitcoin's potential.

Im very happy with XT, I totally support Hearn, Andresen, Ver. There is a queue of VC's waiting for bitcoin to scale. The killer ap is currrency, but it needs to scale first... trust me this is going to end very well although short term the price might test 2015 lows long term this has to happen.

PS Peter Todd is a troll FYI

my take for what its worth....

they are using existing block chain config's to change some characteristics of BTC. making it more future proof (so say the XT people). for example: in so doing making it more centralised as only certain miners can hold the storage to support the mining operation.

how they are inserting this "new config" within existing environment is beyond me thou.

as expected new forms are being created out of existing ideas.... how many times will this happen before we get crypto nirvana?
