Dassault Aviation (AM.FR) et Babcock International Group (BAB.LN) ont annoncé jeudi la conclusion d'un partenariat pour la réalisation du contrat FOMEDEC, attribué à la filiale française du groupe britannique, par la Direction générale de l'armement (DGA).
Ce partenariat se traduira par la création d'une société commune sous le leadership de Babcock France.
A l'issue d'un appel d'offres, Babcock France a remporté auprès de la DGA un contrat de 11 ans portant sur la fourniture et le soutien d'une plateforme d'entraînement, avec les services associés, à destination de l'Armée de l'Air. Le premier avion d'entraînement de ce contrat sera livré en mars 2018, a précisé Babcock.
Le groupe britannique estime sa part du contrat à un peu plus de 500 millions d'euros.
