14/5/2013 16:46 | DGW - His Lordship was very well connected no doubt and probably an impressive front man. When I first invested, I knew little about how to choose a good stock. Losing money taught me more than making gains. I held BAB through times when I should have headed for the exit but having held on, at least I am now able to forget those days and enjoy the prospect of a large pipeline of profitable work which will also save me money as a taxpayer judging by other examples of just how wasteful some of our public services can be when left to their own devices. | alter ego
14/5/2013 16:00 | Alter ego - Absolutely correct, they were into heavy engineering, and are a totally different Co now. Under Lord King their performance was abysmal......yet he was made Chairman of BA????? The reason THAT turned round was due to Colin Marshall and not his Lordship!!!!! | dgwinterbottom
14/5/2013 15:20 | yes and they were into heavy engineering then if I recall. It's not the same business any longer and the changes have made it a much more successful business. | alter ego
14/5/2013 15:14 | Alter ego - "I've held BAB for a couple of decades" but they never performed this well under Lord King!!! and they made him Chairman of BA!!!!! | dgwinterbottom
14/5/2013 11:41 | Excellent set of results. I've held BAB for a couple of decades, adding along the way. Superb long term chart if you ignore the stutter about 4 years ago. A LTBH dream IMO. Puts many others in my portfolio to shame for consistent, reliable progress. | alter ego |
