From today's announcements,
Resources increased 14% to 45.1M tonnes (c.15 years production)
Annual sales now to be 2.9M tonnes

RAB and Fidelity recently increasing stakes.

Using figures from recent Aus Shares magazine article....
When in production,
Assume $78 per tonne?
2.9M tonnes output per annum =sales $226m
using v conservative figure of 10% profit margin = $22.8m profit

with m/cap $115m would give p/e of 5??

record volume today - this company has only just come on my radar screen and decided to buy a few - couldn't buy via the Share Centre as they said the company was registered in Oz - Barclays took my money quick enough though!

Held since Dec 13th. A lucky buy on an unlucky day.
Does anyone know if they have started to build the jetty yet? Looked, but perhaps it will need a phone call.
SP shows a remarkably calm upward line. No profit taking which is encouraging (and unusual). As they are all sold out of ore as I understand it, I wonder what news will keep this rising prior to production. This is my only worry, but then, you can't have everything.

LONDON (AFX) - Aztec Resources Ltd said iron ore resource estimates at its
Koolan Island project in Western Australia have been raised by 59 pct to 39.5
mln tonnes.
The increase came as a result of a recent drilling campaign at Koolan
Island, which focused on the Eastern and Mullet deposits, it said.
The Eastern and Mullet deposits are believed to hold an "inferred" resource
of 14.7 mln tonnes, Aztec said, citing an independent survey by GRD Minproc Ltd.
The hike is expected to support a mine life of up to 15 years, with an
initial production rate of 2 mln tonnes a year, it added.
Further drilling is planned in the fourth quarter, particularly at the
Acacia and Barramundi ore bodies. This is expected to lead to a further increase
in the total resource inventory for the project, it said.
"Our Bankable Feasibility study is due to be completed by the end of the
first quarter of 2005 and the continued demand from China, as well as an almost
19 pct rise in iron ore prices this year, bodes well for the economics of this
project," said chief executive Ian Burston.
Aztec said it will also commence discussion with potential customers in
relation to long term off-take agreements.
The site was previously mined by BHP Billiton until 1993 and produced about
68 mln tonnes of high grade and low impurity ore.
