Just whittled my holding down a bit more ...will now await the recovery! Probably one of the biggest trades so far and that,s not saying much.
Question..if nobody buys and nobody sells what do tha MM.s do with the share price? Up or down? What happens to the principle of supply and demand?

Well I suppose that if you were betting on this share going down it is a wonderful share. However it must be the worst performing share I've ever owned ...why I,ve kept holding it heaven knows!... Look at the trades volumes to-day..pathetic.Punters buying or selling in in single figures!

morning all........carnage out there today.........thannks fannie and freddie...........ah well at least they're probably getting closer (slowly) to the end of the subprime debarcle..................

ringer.........the whole market is a dog.........just remember Axon's last trading statement..........the strong will come out stronger..............

I've noticed another long term stock of mine is under cash offer........thus............found that cert from 2000...........

This share is a dog. The only minus on my portfolio to-day...gets rather monotonous. Think it,s maybe time to cash in..as I said a few weeks ago but failed to take my own advice! Down nearly 20p at one point to-day on the basis of a few piddling trades again.

now call me mad, but the US should increase rates..............why????

well the currency is so weak that the moment that oil to non US Dollar countries is still relatively cheap............take that cheapness away and down drops demand/speculators...........also slightly less money in peoples pockets reduces fuel consumption...........oil drops on reduced demand, inflation cools.........etc...........

hair brained idea I know, goes against all logic..............but there you go.........

I see what you mean BB. Even to-day they were down when the Ftse was up and went up when the ftse went down! Time.I think, to cash in and put the proceeds all under the mattress waiting for the next breakout in 2010!
The way things are going at the moment I must be the only one that's losing money on E&P oil shares and when the time comes for the breakout the POO will probably plummet to about $10 per barrel.

Well as I said having sold some of my Axon shares they go up 14p! Works every time! It,s uncanny! Every other share in my portfolio which I didn't sell have gone the other way.

This remains a very cheap stock for what you are getting going forwards. I am not expecting much this side of November though.

Manufacturing in U.S. Unexpectedly Expanded in June (Update1)

July 1 (Bloomberg) -- Manufacturing in the U.S. unexpectedly expanded in June for the first time in five months, signaling exports and the government rebate checks are helping companies weather the housing slump and jump in costs.

The Institute for Supply Management's factory index rose to 50.2 from 49.6 in May, the Tempe, Arizona-based group said today. A reading of 50 is the dividing line between expansion and contraction.

general market sentiment today I think ringer............yesterday may have been end of month/quarter/half book balancing...........or maybe someone got wind of this deal............

think these are way undervauled imo based on last trading statement, but we have to play the waiting game due to the rest of the market.........when the market turns hopefully Axon comes out stronger..............(still got my eye on that S&P analysis and Times young Turk report.......looking long long term.....

lol........something like that............the sky's falling down again...........blimey.......don't people realise by now there are cycles..........18-24 month normally for downside to work through (or bear market).......we're what 10-11 months through already??????????...........

Axon must be confident though based on still buying companies............and why not with the cheap dollar (which imo maybe a major contributor to high oil price......cheap dollar etc)...........power to the buyer imo........

Have just sold a few more Axon so watch for the recovery!.
