02/12/2004 16:29 | Quite !! boyblue.. i was only looking... thankfully.. LONDON (AFX) - Award International Holdings PLC, a full service promotional incentives company that provides merchandise, live events and travel, said that, despite winning a number of new clients in the past six months, its results for the year to Sept 30 2004 will be substantially below current market expectations. The company said it had expected to win two major orders which have not come through, which contributed to the loss of revenue which will result in a reduced pretax profit. The company will announce its full results for the year to Sept 30 in January. On a positive note, AIH said Award International Ltd has won a number new clients including Cadbury's Ireland to supply scanner radios and BT Retail to provide promotional items for sale in Tesco stores. As part of its long-standing relationship with Buena Vista International, Award has created radios and watches for the movie, 'The Incredibles' and is also creating merchandise for new client Momentum Pictures for the release of its new movie 'Racing Stripes' which is due for release in February 2005. Other new clients include EU Jet and the British Red Cross. The company said it is optimistic that these and other new clients will provide substantial contracts going forward. Commenting on the statement, AIH chairman Geoffrey Rose said, "Despite the fact that two major orders we were expecting didn't materialise we have won a number of new clients this year and we are excited about the prospects for the business. Award continues to win clients and develop new promotional ideas and although the lost revenue is unhelpful we are confident that 2005 will be a good year." | currypasty

29/3/2004 16:38 | hi wole, not sure, ive not bought, but watching. It seems to me that a number of new issues recently have done very well in the first day, or few days. I was watching to see if awi would do similar, but it seems kids football kits isnt very exciting! there are a couple more on wednesday, aztec, and euronickle. ill be watching those, especially nickle, as resources could be looking at another push up, after recent consolidation and profit taking. | currypasty
