11/2/2009 20:17 | this will be another Woolies who also had massive debts.....the rest was history. Can someone explain to me how AVE can payback £1.4billion where the mkt cap is 34million! No bidders would be interested....£1.4bi | cyclingnut
11/2/2009 20:09 | £1.4 billion debt is ridiculous....no chance of repaying that... | cyclingnut

29/1/2009 20:22 | I think 5p in a week or so is easily achievable. Im not too worried if it does not though, im holding for at least 12 months and looking for 10p plus. | robandkerry
28/1/2009 15:58 | lets hope this can hit the 5p and hit north in aweek or so | jab118
28/1/2009 11:57 | roband. up some more again imo this has been grossly under sold | jab118
28/1/2009 10:06 | guys imo........ in a down turn like we are in for the next few years, people will hire cars for short trips and holidays....... lets face it, every one likes holidays | jab118
28/1/2009 09:26 | Up again today. :) This type of business is very out of favour at the moment, the car trade and anything conected with it is very depressed, but it will soon turn around. 90% of the population needs transport. This is a good long term stock imo, dyor etc. | robandkerry
27/1/2009 19:08 | Thanks Jab & Roband, I keep thinking these have got to be worth 10p at least, but was afraid to go in as I have lost so much money and comfidence is hence very low. If soon I have some funds I am thinking it has got to worth putting a 100K worth of shares away for the longer term at around these levels. | kulvinder
27/1/2009 17:08 | Looks like you're going to quadruple your money then ... I can hardly contain my excitement! Well done for spotting this one. (LOL!) | matthu
26/1/2009 21:38 | I can see these at 10p within 12 months. No brainer if you ask me. :) | robandkerry
26/1/2009 14:38 | roband....... you can see it to | jab118
26/1/2009 14:38 | roband....... you can see it to | jab118
26/1/2009 09:28 | What a bargain these are at this price. Im in for a few. Well undervalued IMO. | robandkerry
25/1/2009 18:11 | kulvinder......... this looks like a smallish company grossly under valued with profit just over half of market cap the ramped up share price at end of trading of 50% mid week and near on 100% on friday, is that some one is trying to alert investers that it's a bargain BUY there is a small discustion on (iii web) this weekend regaurding ave, so I feel in time we will get a recovery price soon | jab118
18/12/2008 18:34 | Does anyone know why this keeps droping ? Is it likely to recover from this or these the signs of it going out of business altogether ? | kulvinder
26/11/2008 21:07 | mryesyes. My experience of Avis in France is exactly the same as yours.Either members of the Board don't holiday in France or they take their own cars down when they do.They have been picking up large salaries for years and now like you I'm glad that a fair few have departed. This will go down like woolies and MFI and not a moment to soon in my opinion. | john148
25/11/2008 21:58 | Yes I hate them. They never have any small cars, they have no lines outside their office and they don't care, look at it you book on line and have to queue at the bargain europcar as avis dont bother to try to get business and there is their office in NICE FRANCE with staff doing nothing, no cars, daft prices, pure insanity. This is going bust and its FANTASTIC If I could boo those staff out with no compensation and no reference into unemployment until they retire I'd drink all night on the pure exhileration!!!! DIE DIE DIE AVIS HOOORAY | mryesyes
17/11/2008 21:00 | My view is stay clear of this share. They're doing the complete opposite of what is required.IMO that they should do a Ryanair.Cut prices aggresively in order to win market share, especially over winter months where their car hire office's in certain continental holiday destinations, are likely to be near to empty. Catch the competition on the hop. This company are falling behind the competition year after year! | john148 |
