19/5/2006 15:27 | Que I think I have misinformed you re the July )6 date for demerger of Avis Inc .....I havent been monitoring Cwndant for a while .... It looks like Avis Inc will not be demerged until Oct 06 (see below) by which time only Avis Inc and Travel Distribution Services will be left under the Cendant umbrella Methinks this could well herald an autumn sale of Avis Inc particularly since the loan note currently being floated by Avis Inc to buy itself from Cendant will be history and the demerger experience of the other 2 Cendant Cos will be over from an AVE standpoint it gives well over a year since refinancing for Hennessy & Co to turn the business around........Suspec Proposed Cendant Separation With Modifications Approved December 9, 2005 by Board of Directors Proposal to separate Cendant into four independent, publicly traded, pure-play companies: Real Estate Services - A leader in the residential real estate services sector largest real estate brokerage franchisor and operator premier global employee relocation and mobility services company leading provider of title agency and other settlement services. > Download Real Estate Services Fact Sheet Travel Distribution Services - A powerful portfolio of global brands strong U.S. and international presence a leader in the growing travel intermediary sector. > Download Travel Distribution Services Fact Sheet Hospitality Services - One of the world's largest lodging companies, with nine of the best-known brands will now include Cendant's leading timeshare exchange business, RCI, and the Vacation Rental Group, recently combined and renamed the Vacation Network Group (VNG). > Download Hospitality Fact Sheet Vehicle Rental Services - One of the largest general-use car rental businesses in the U.S. with two of the most-recognized brands in its sector, Avis and Budget. > Download Vehicle Rental Services Fact Sheet -------------------- Shareholders will own 100% of the equity in all four companies. Expected to be achieved through three 100% spin-offs: Real Estate Services and Hospitality in the spring and summer of 2006, respectively, and Travel Distribution Services in October 2006. Expected to be tax-free for Cendant and its shareholders. Transaction is intended to unlock the value of Cendant's strong businesses for the benefit of shareholders. Reduces complexity, facilitating clearer understanding and fairer market valuation. Allows investors to choose how to diversify their Cendant holdings. Attracts new interest from investors who may not have been as interested in Cendant's aggregate holdings. Transaction should have no effect on the operation of Cendant's business units. No change in relationships, in general, with customers, franchisees and other business partners. Most employees should see no significant changes in daily responsibilities. Refinancing of Cendant's public corporate debt securities will be apportioned among Real Estate Services, Hospitality and Travel Distribution companies. No legacy corporate debt for Vehicle Rental Services, but it will assume existing debt related to rental vehicle assets. Completion of the proposed transaction is subject to certain conditions, including final approval by Cendant's Board, but a shareholder vote is not required. For more information, please see Cendant's Form 10-Q for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 and Form 8-K filed on December 13, 2005. | gerry321

08/5/2006 20:30 | Analysts visit seems to have spurred some interest...although low volume. | cobweb
03/5/2006 10:15 | Well it has just gone back above 20MA (71.75) and if it closes above it may be worth a punt for a quick 10% or so upside. Some good returns to be had prev (up or down) when it has crossed. And currently at bottom trend trend line for a bounce ? | m4m
09/4/2006 11:45 | No, not trading, just holding. Would need alot of attention this one, given the spread the ease with which it is up one day and down the next by a reasonable %. I think we will see the 75p mark in the coming weeks. | cobweb
08/4/2006 18:22 | Are you regularly trading these movements cob? If it closes above 75 for a couple of days and gets back into the uptend channel then I'll have another long position. | m4m
07/4/2006 20:42 | The share price is jumping around the place on this one - any views ? | cobweb
04/4/2006 20:41 | Great day, looking forward to some more ! | cobweb
30/3/2006 23:54 | Well, what's the story here an up day ?!? or just the spread being so wide the mid price is higher !! I wish I understood what was going on. Any insight ?!? | cobweb
28/3/2006 14:45 | Looks like time to bail out of AVE The share price should be creeping upwards not downwards if a US bid for the Co was on the horizon | gerry321

14/3/2006 23:20 | Good day, back above 75p on reasonable volume | cobweb
13/3/2006 23:24 | Thanks Gerry321 and m4m, I appreciate both of your comments. I too am very disappointed that it has fallen below 75p for the same reasons you mentioned m4m - only thing is given the massive Belgian holding, I'm not sure this stock is a candidate for TA in the truest sense. That said, it does not look good, it would be nice to know more re Gerrys comments on Fidelity, but you're right, stay out for the time being. All a bit disappointing given the positive trading update only a few weeks ago ! | cobweb
13/3/2006 10:56 | Well it looks like it's out the uptrend channel so I wouldn't be a buyer until it gets back in it cob and if it closes below 75 then that's very negative ? | m4m
10/3/2006 11:14 | Cob Looks like Fidelity are unloading more stock at an average share price around what they paid for it....75p to 80p..........this could go on for a while if so we will see the impact in a future RNS.... Alternatively MMs have been buying on behalf of a principal and are simply exchanging the stock at the pre arranged sp For sure this is not stock being dumped otherwise the share price would have collapsed rapidly Hope this helps..... | gerry321
10/3/2006 10:23 | Big volumes going thru on a few trades .... any clues on what they are ? Look like sells but no price movement ? | cobweb
04/3/2006 20:11 | Can't believe it, no movement in share price, no comment son this board. Is there anybody out there ! | cobweb |
