On a 16 / 17 single figure PER, I don't even think that is necessary.

Droid - quite true!! I am interested to see if there is an "exceeding expectations" possibility given the recent run of news and announcements?

Ultimately the market will judge this co. on the basis of now and the next twelve months in particular, I like the story here with this co., I have to believe it is well-managed, however the caveat will always be how well executed their strategy is, we have seen a fair few warnings from bigger entities in a variety of sectors recently, and it's clear the ones who deliver are rewarded, whilst the cos. that fail on that are crushed! There are no givens, but I think this co. has good relationships with its end-users, so it is all about the proof in the pudding!

I don't think the recent pull-back too much to concern, profit taking in part against a good rise this year! The important thing to remember is that much of the news released about orders this year is that it is the future year's growth trajectory will be higher, these will take a while to hit the bottom line, but the market always looks forward, that is the key, and it is up to the co. to keep costs in check in the meantime! The contracts awarded suggest a consistent and growing revenue outlook, especially the deal with BNFL, so I think it's steady as she goes, we have seen some gap ups in the share price, and the pull-back may reflect a little of that, but current trading performance should nonetheless not be disregarded despite this stock being tomorrow's story!

Just a thought - but does anyone think that given the large orders and general robust order announcements these last few months, coupled with efficiency savings announced in the Interim report that Avingtrans may exceed broker expectations this year?

Not really DGW, it is the market waking up to the sales prospects we already know about in my view.

Anyone any thoughts that the share price rise this week may be on the prospect of a hike in oil prices and therefore the prospect of a sudden rush of new orders for revived projects?

Surprised at the rise today, may be linked to post from tromso above, ie funds managed by Gervais Williams buying.

Another potentially lucrative market for Metalcraft, energy storage and grid balancing is becoming an increasing focus due to growth in renewable energy. The £8m grant to Highview Power for a demonstration plant is quite a sizeable award:
