How low can AVN go? some great upbeat news coming through but with big institutional holders selling everyday, share price falling everyday, news re finance needs to be RNS to gain support before PIs enter this fight other wise you'd be out of pocket the very next day and weeks ahead IMO gla

Our view: The aforementioned update highlights Avanti's ongoing discussions with potential acquirers or investors after a strategic review of its business plan and financial position. The company has initiated a two-phase funding strategy to meet its short-term liquidity needs. Avanti has commenced work on an as yet undisclosed long-term funding solution, forming the second phase of funding. The company has also begun the process to pay the debt due in October by issuing debt that would mature in 2019. Avanti's revenue and capital expenditure guidance looks promising. Meanwhile, the contract signed with ESA is a positive development. Avanti would provide affordable satellite broadband connectivity to 1,400 community sites across sub-Saharan Africa over the next two years, using its new ECO Wi-Fi hotspot initiative. In light of the ongoing developments, we maintain a Speculative Buy rating on the stock.

Why is AVN trying to avoid reporting on FY16 & Q117?
Could be KPMG don't want to sign the accounts off?
I'm wondering then they bail?
Why is AVN trying to postpone $32.5m debt payment for one even more expensive 6 months later at $45m?
How much has the Welsh super CEO paid himself in bonuses and salaries for adject failure?
Has AVN missed their own forecasts for a 6th straight year?

Avanti Communications, the London-listed satellite group, said it is still in discussions with potential buyers over an acquisition after its larger rival Inmarsat, ruled out a bid for the company last month.

Avanti, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange’s Aim market, has been conducting a “strategic review” since the summer, fuelling speculation that it will be acquired by private equity investors or a larger rival.

The best solution I can see is that someone takes a minority stake for say 49.9%, then renegotiates the debt with a lower interest payment, and we are well on our way to profitability with growth of 35-40% for the next three years.
At least bond holders are supportive as they can see potential strong recovery in the stock price once the debt is sorted out.

Avanti Communications puts on stellar show as it shines a light on chance of sale

Shares in Avanti Communications spent a rare day in orbit as investors remained hopeful that the satellite data firm can secure a sale.

Avanti, whose value has shrunk by 80% this year on AIM, rocketed 5.5p, or 17%, to 37p as it confirmed it was still in talks with suitors, having hoisted the For Sale sign earlier in the summer amid crippling debts.

“Upon the completion of due diligence by interested parties, the board intends to request best and final indicative offers for a potential acquisition or any strategic investment in the company,” Avanti said.

Its shares more than halved in a single day in July when it warned it needed to raise at least $50 million (£38 million) of equity as it slashed revenue targets. It today issued more loan notes to shore up its short-term finances.

Larger rival Inmarsat ruled out a bid for Avanti last month. Inmarsat, down 4.11p at 711.39p, announced that it had raised $400 million through a bond offering to repay a loan from the European Investment Bank.
