toby ˋ~ like I said, these BB's are full of Walter Mitty types.

divina ~ the point being, the ordinary PI is not patient enough to wait 10/15 years, and as the chart suggests, not even AVN investors believe the BS being fed to investors by the Welsh buffon, fact. In any event, AVN will not be around in 12 months unless it finds mug punters to poney up for new equity, wiping out existing investors, that or some other fool does a Slater & Gordon, which seems exstremely unlikely, but i would't rule it out. In the event someone like ISAT don't bail AVN out, then its bondholders that will take control.

Punters think 6 months is a long time, forget years!

lol....so now have you have noticed the history of missed targets over the last 5 years and I do mean every year.
===============

5 years is short term! it takes years and alot of cash to get the sats up there! Rome was not built in 5 years. I understand if they are still missing targets at 10 or 15 years but just 5. Come on they are building a business you have to give it some time. That's the problem these days punters think 5 years is long term!

lol....so now have you have noticed the history of missed targets over the last 5 years and I do mean every year. Dodgy accounting, questionable revenue accounting. Sliding margins and excessive capacity across the all tin cans.

I think the bondholders may have a say on the rescheduling of the debt. Why would they, if AVN is going to be cash free any time (yeah right) then as a bondholder I would take the company out the moment they defaulted. It would be free money would it not? Then sell off what assets there is. For bondholders it would a no brainer. Quite you you don't see this is beyond me.

reschedule the debt, and then sit back and watch the revenues grow, after a certain point its free money.
just need to get over this short term cash flow problem.
The business is good, its just taken longer than planned / expected to get there. a lot of the cash flow problems are caused by things outwith avantis control. i.e partners taking too long to get VSAT business up & running.

They would vote yes if the debt was rescheduled. Simple really, debt has to be paid but duration can be extended. Watch for news

toby - worried! why would I be worried? Keep up fella, it is well documented I close my short weeks ago and being an honest and transparent man I would have informed peeps here had I opened again. I missed another 40p on the downside, but being short from 190p I can not argue. I post because as I do for one reason only, AVN made threats to me, they tried to gag me, they tried to bully me; why, because they did not like me accusing them of fraud. Instead of answering the questions and allegations they chose the old school bully-boy tactic. Well, as you can see, it didn't work. I do not allow anyone to intimidate me. Ask michaelmouse, he also tried an intimidation tactic earlier this year, details of which can be seen on the michaelmosue thread. So, please don't worry about me worry for your holding. I have seen this type of pump many times, some of you late comers may be luck and may actually make a profit, good luck to you, you took the risk and you may get a reward. But those of you expecting 4 times current levels are living in cloud money heaven and only corrupt cronies of CEO's brokers and family are allowed in.

If you think I'm wrong about the ISAT situation, why not pop over there and ask the shareholders how they would feel about taking on board a POS with $650m in debt with hardly enough funds to cover interest payments on it. Do you think the shareholders would vote YES? Hell no, the fools are on this side. In any event, ISAT's balance sheet isn't that great either, it would have to raise debt to buy , what, even more debt. Think about FFS :)

I dont think so.Inmarsat were until recently responsible for the flight control of both Hylas 1 and 2. Lot of trust there. I dont think isat would want Avant on its knees. Isat can slash station keeping costs, 2 m/year by taking it back.

Pump and dump, I bet the Boston lot have sold out, leaving mug punters holding worthless stock.

Nothing like a false takeover rumour to get the price up.

5 x market cap bid, so syipid, cant believe anyone has fallen for it.
Especially as Isat have offically said its untrue.

Gullable doesnt come close

Too many posts elrico, you sound worried.
Your "house" analogy.
Try taking the estate agent out of the equation.
You see what I did there?

Something for ISAT (or whomever is suckered into buying AVN - I don't believe there are 2 other bidders) but if there is, they will be leaving themselves exposed to bear raids, just like Slater & Gordon. It would be a no brainer for the bears. Personally, I wouldn't short ISAT for example, because I only ever short known frauds.

Lets put this in very simple terms. Imagine you see a house you like, you are the only person interested in the house, you also learn the seller is a distressed seller. Would you; A. Offer full market value? B. screw the seller by offering well below market value?

No, surely not A - YOU'RE ALL HEART :)

I suggest you do some research, bondholders wont get all their money back whatever happens. Lol

Maybe a debt for equity swap, a la gkp.

Why roll over 650mill usd for a loss making company that needs major capex.
Burning cash hand over fist. The is no logic to hold this share, nor anyone to buy them out. Especially when the equity can we wiped out as a matter of course and any suitor can deal with the bondholders directly. Nice saving of whatever the equity cap is. Its not rocket science. Intangibles? Like what?

Im short and i will keep selling into any rises, until the ponzi scheme runs out of people. Stay long Roofer2 and plse, buy some more monday and help the price up, thats good news for me.

Have a gd weekend GG.

Why would bond holders let this go to administration? They may not get all their money back that way in a fire sell. Better to negotiate a takeover. A company has intangible assets that are worth more the sum of the parts.
