Well I can't believe the article (which isat have denied) which has been printed in the FT. Whether the journo has been duped into it or not is besides the point. Obviously he knows what has been published is rubbish, hence the backtrack in alphaville. And then a attempt as backside covering from the avanti rns. This has suckered in a lot of people. Some will be left holding the baby.
Its an obvious short. The people who arent very bright and are following the heard mentality will be losing their hard earned (once again probably)....

From the isat rns, avanti were trying to pimp themselves to isat as they are about to go under. How this is spun into isat were going to pay 140p a share is ridiculous. I can only think its an effort to get the share price up for the crucial equity raise, or maybe a large 10% equity holder will/has dumped their shares.
I guess that will be revealed shortly.

Think ponzi scheme, and get out while a few suckers are still around......

Let's not let the facts get in the way of a poor blogger trying drum up interest. At least michealmouse has finally revealed himself, by another poster even more rampant with his ramps. I always wondered which premium user he was.

So, back to the facts, what TW actually said, "I would not be short or long of AVANTI." His concern was there may another fool out their just as stupid as Slater & Gorden, the Australian ambulance chasers whom bought Qundell, a well known fraud. Slater & Gordon are most likely to go bust or at least wipe out their investors with mega dilution after write-downs. In any event, if I were a ISAT investor I would be very nervous of getting into bed with AVN, this IMHO would open them up as a natural short because we all know AVN is a busted flush and is about to go insolvent within months. 200m MARKET CAP WITH 600+m debt mountain.

Perhaps not though, since the article appeared yesterday and not Tuesday as you suggest?

In fact the shares have been in the 20s all week until later yesterday when the news broke. Surprised you waited for 32p? Still £11k is great, well done, particularly you being a bear and all that.

Good luck in your quest to find the mysterious mystic who suggested buying this on Tuesday, great foresight on his/her part and a terrifically kind offer of champagne from you. I'm quite partial to a veuve clicqout personally. Must stock up again shortly. In fact I might just treat myself since Avanti has been an unexpected bonus this week.

letmepass no it wasn't. It was rumoured to be but then Imarsat have said via an RNS that they are not bidding. It makes no sense that such a bid if formal would not succeed.

One thing is for sure. If the share price keeps on rising then even a fund raising is far less dilutive and more attractive?

Yep, it is all speculation at this point, but the RNS is interesting since given the rumours about a bid it certainly doesn't deny them.

When this fell to the 20s, I said it may be one for the brave. It certainly has been. Speculators have had a chance to double their money.

If AVN had been approached they'd have had to say so in that RNS this afternoon. The RNS basically says nothing has changed since they instigated the review. Put another way the rise is down only to rumour at this point.
