JakNife indeed they won't especially given the enormous debt levels.

But who's buying stock here? Shorts covering or just ilinformed private investors? Most here can see AVN is worthless which makes a change.

Several potential buyers...as the company goes up for sale....$645 debt, but lots of high quality assets.

Someone is going to take this business for pittance.!! It already says it requires an injection of $50mill minimum.Also there is around $640mil of debt on the books.Sorry folks but I think you'll be lucky to get a favourable deal here now.What they are proposing is worse than the $50mill fundraising they told you about last week.

Putting themselves up for sale in parallel with seeking an equity raise! Ummm a cynic might think its to support the price to allow shares to be forward sold and support an equity raise.

This has to be one of the best shorts on the market at the moment. Best case scenario for AVN is a highly-dilutive deeply-discounted placing, some of which will be forward sold. Worst case scenario is of course zero.

Today's spike can only be a short covering squeeze. Clearly the company is drowning in debt and the equity must be practically worthless?

This has risen this morning.... Once a share issue is out of the way this could recover some ground, but I am surprised by Jefferies reiterating the same price target when they are being asked for at best a 1 for 1 stock issue. Price targets would need to be at least halved.
