Alarm bells must ring loud when a CEO ACTUALLY BOASTS he has COMMITTED FRAUD!

AVN turned £9mil in to £2000 in the space of 9 months, it loaned to a strategic partner!!

Not in my humble opinion, but those of men sitting comfortably asking hard questions in public. AVN knew these guys were going to do a job on them, so would have thought they would have had their lawyers there!

I note that Tempus in the Times has fallen for the AVN spin. "The first phase of this multiyear contract has an initial value of $29m" has been interpreted as "The first phase of the contract is worth $29m, or more than a third of forecast revenues for Avanti". Errr, I think he missed the word "multiyear".

Just an observation. Michaelmouse has been presenting a bear case for optibiotix even at 75p with his initial target of 40p, he even suggested opti may see 8p again once the ramp bubble burst. At the same time he topped up in his avanti at 120p from 170p. I suggested the share price of opti and avn will cross at some point, we are at this point now on the offer price. Avn 92.75 v opti 93p.

I think michaelmouse may owe some people an apology.

Uhm - Let understand this...once you tip a company, you can not change your mind, even when you find material reasons to change from bull to bear! Is that what you're saying, Estienne? So, AVN misses targets, said tipster is supposed to ignore these and continue to advise his clients to hoover up the shares, while he waits for them to go south. I wonder what clown ticked your post?

You can't blame short action for AVN woe's. AVN has missed it's own targets year after year, this is why it is sat on a growing mountain of debt, while it's bonds trade at 20%, junk bond territory, making any fund raising unfavorable to shareholders. I'll say nothing of questionable accounting practices, all meat and drink for bears.

It is entirely plausible for the taf to hold back news in favour of setting a bear trap, but given the slide in the share price over the last year or more, it may only catch the late arrivals to the party. I am out for now because of my policy using trailing stops with illiquid shares. Will I enter again? Probably, but not just yet....I don't like IG for a start.
