This time of year with low volume prices can be all over the place but I'm quite sure we will have a big change in the new year. Some say contracts are all factored in and will not make any difference to the share price but I don't subscribe to that and if the flow of contracts won in the new year continues it can only have a positive effect on the share price in my opinion

marks - LOL - quite right. Nobody spends this much time on a stock they don't hold. Why bother unless you have an agenda. Too boring and long term will have no impact on the price. You only have to look at the likes of ISAT to see where this might go. Not same target market but it shows what can be achieved.

marks - AVN is blatantly being shorted and that's backed up by data.

Put AVN into the box below the chart bottom left hand side. It's all very clear.



So don't worry about Superg1; just regard her (supergirl?) as a measure of the force behind the shorting (pause: I just made myself laugh) and use her posts wisely to time the next leg up.

Deeks got a good idea and stick to it. For your info Deek I said keep sniping and I'll keep posting.

On the drop issue this may just be a normal retrace, or a large holder off loading in the background taking some profit.

Just in case watch for Caledonians monthly list which may show if they do, or not as the case may be. If one of them does offload for a period it does cause stagnation until the overhang clears.

The one thing that is clear, is that some people are not playing with a full deck.

I managed with a market order to get stock at 620.25 first thing when the price tanked.
A year from now we should be over £20.

For goodness sake, why are you all clogging up this thread re superg1? You can't all be traders and if you are, then with repect you should have better shares to look at. See posts above 2477 & 2500 and either filter or ignore. We had exactly the same with britishb on the SRT thread and it went on and on until posters ignored him/her completely and then BLISS, he went away.

Well said John53 (post 2477). What does it matter (unless you are a trader) what the share price is (or whether so called "syndicate shorters/derampers") are at play here?

This share is not a short term play, (although regrettably I missed out on a top up at 620p this a.m. due to dentist!)

If you are an investor, you will hopefully be paying attention to:-
1)factual news/rns's and informed bb posts only.
2)the build up to Hylas2 launch in Q1 2012
3)any potential competitors/emerging technologies that might affect AVN.
4)account reporting updates (particularly cashflow).

I am a conservative investor and satisfied with all the above criteria as we stand.If newcomers blindly follow derampers/rampers, then that is their problem and perhaps they should stick to more conservative investments. As Warren Buffet said, you pay a high price for certainty.

Superg1 - You were slating the technology at the beginning with information about white space technology and latency, it was unsubstantiated and largely incorrect and appeared to have an agenda back then. You were unsuccessful with that approach and then attacked from a financial point of view which didn't appear to be correct either. I not going to look back though the posts but you appear to be an absolute idiot and you have zero credibility now.
