17/8/2010 15:23 | Well something's rattled the cage today, admittedly from a very low level, but nearly 17" up and well up the biggest gainers list. Not exactly heaps of trades but a few buyers about. Another MM game to shift stock or perhaps there's some news from the courts that hasn't made it into general knowledge. One can hope. | davius
17/8/2010 14:40 | With A/F folding anythings possible. | wilba
17/8/2010 13:40 | Any bulls left here? Is ACE going under? :( | nick rubens
04/8/2010 08:21 | Sir Brainy. I hear what you are saying and acknowledge the morals and ethics of insurance. I am invested in the dark side. Do i sell and lose on a basis of morality or wait to see if ACE come good and sell when i break even to suport your reasoned cause. P.S. Is investment in shares per se not a similar situation? | wilba
04/8/2010 06:56 | Honest John reveals your top 10 car complaints Credit Hire expenses are where an "accident management specialist" takes over a claim, puts the injured party in an equivalent hire car for the duration of the repair, then delays the repair to extend the period of the hire. A repair cost of £4,000 and a hire car cost of £9,000 are typical where, if the insurer had anticipated the hire car bill, it would have written off the car in the first place. Never sign any document that leaves you liable for hire costs if the other party's insurer (rightly) refuses to pay. The worst examples have been hire car bills of £29,000 and £40,000 sums that could have bought the hire cars outright. | sir brainy
03/8/2010 15:11 | Welcome East Ham s Why are you here? | wilba
03/8/2010 14:41 | Tense? Nervous? Headache? | sir brainy
03/8/2010 14:30 | Sir Brainy/Wilba stop trying to sound intelligent and shut up! If you had any intelligence you wouldnt have shares in Ace anyway. As your both getting all emotional maybe you should get a room together. | easthams
03/8/2010 10:06 | clond. Most reviewed piece of poetry from world war I. Absolute inversion. The implied statement being "It is sweet and right." The full saying ends the poem: Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori - it is sweet and right to die for your country. In other words, it is a wonderful and great honour to fight and die for your country". In fact as we know, even more so now, " It is not hounourable very often to die for what you believe in". That was the point i was trying to make to Sir Brainy. We are all sheep, manipulated even to death for what we are taught to believe in. How those names on epitaphs would turn in thier graves knowing what we know today. "knowledge is power" and as we speak China bans google and the Arabs block Blackberry. Why? Sheep herding. | wilba
03/8/2010 08:23 | Never heard that before but it's the best decriptive I have ever heard for not wanting to of been there ! | clond
02/8/2010 16:30 | P.S. We are all on the long road to perdition it's just time and the journey between here and there. Thanks for the latin historical. | wilba
02/8/2010 16:28 | Sir Brainy as Horace said "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori". I understand your sentiment and i might not agree with the ethics but the debate is about the share value. I respect your morals mate but is it worth dying for. Would people be hounered to have their name on the epitaphs knowing what they died for today?? So obviously your a bright lad, remove your feelings and talk business without the emotional attachment. Regards Wilba. | wilba
01/8/2010 22:20 | Uptrend still in tact from the low. | mreasygoing
01/8/2010 22:19 | Incidentally, if you see them on a long road to perdition, I guess we see eye to eye after all. Main Entry: per·di·tion Pronunciation: \pər-ˈdi-s Function: noun Etymology: Middle English perdicion, from Anglo-French perdiciun, Late Latin perdition-, perditio, from Latin perdere to destroy, from per- through + dare to give - more at per-, date Date: 14th century 1 a archaic : utter destruction b obsolete : loss 2 a : eternal damnation b : hell | sir brainy
01/8/2010 22:16 | I see the business model as flawed and destructive of value. No better than ambulance chasers only to continue the analogy they are effectively pushing people down stairs in the first place to earn them a broken leg then bribing the doc to string out the bone setting over 3 weeks - then suing the patient if they turn out not to be insured. Also too much smoke & mirrors with the residual value of the fleet. | sir brainy
01/8/2010 19:50 | Because I have a strong moral compass. I don't like to see ACE being ramped | sir brainy
01/8/2010 19:18 | Sir Boll*x, Why are you here? | wilba
31/7/2010 18:24 | Devious is just irritated to see his 'investment' go up in smoke. There'll be no indemnity insurance payout - dead cert - and Autofocus have gone bust. | sir brainy
31/7/2010 09:19 | lol Brainy whilst you think Dav's post is i quote 'Slanted, prejudiced, and with no open mind.' Yours my friend is no better. So do you know for a fact what premium AF paid for indemnity? Nope i thought not so before you attack someone elses opinion for being slanted etc, it maybe an idea to apply your very own logic to your own posts which to be frank are as onesided as a man in a boxing ring with one arm tied behind his back, one thing i have picked up from your drivel you keep posting is you obvioulsy have no idea of the law and how credit hire works let alone the service ACE provide right or wrong, so may i suggest to others on the board now to filter the idiot and do not engage with the muppet, he/it clearly has no idea what he is talking about.
