20/1/2017 11:08 | Deal just gone through at the NMS at 155p. Is it a buy or sell? | husbod
20/1/2017 11:07 | It's very simple husbod... To be a Market Maker in a share you are REQUIRED to make a market in Normal Market Size (2500 shares here) at all times, except of course when shares are in auction for example... There are up to six MMs in ATYM I believe... If you can get a bid for 25000 or more INSIDE the 'Quote' but you can't get an offer for any, or more than 100, then that is manipulation in my book (in this case almost certainly to fill a big buying order at a limit price)... And if you can switch off electronic quotes when there is no movement in the share price and very little dealing, that is a recipe for manipulation in anyone's book... ATYM is a far more liquid share than even six months ago and, IMO will move onto the FTSE Allshare and maybe even the FTSE350 within a couple of years... It should by now be 'floating free' for the benefit of us all... AIMHO as usual... | rougepierre
20/1/2017 11:02 | Good man rouge - let us know their response if you would. | husbod
20/1/2017 11:00 | So I've registered a formal complaint with TDDI and AIM Regulation... Maybe there's a pincer movement going on... Look like they've let it go now... Tighter quotes means more liquidity which means better prices for us, which means even more liquidity which means bigger profits for TDDI and, ironically bigger turnover for the MMs...in other words win win all round...no-brainer really... Onwards and upwards... | rougepierre
20/1/2017 10:59 | That is ridiculous - the whole point of the NMS system as I understood it was to oblige the mms to make a market in that amount. I can see the reason for the "volatile market" exemption but there is absolutely no way that the market in our share could be described as "volatile". Tedious, boring, stable maybe but certainly not volatile. If an mm can't trade the NMS he shouldn't be an mm for that stock. | husbod
20/1/2017 10:37 | W4nkers.Anyway - seems to be volatile now :-) | shortarm
20/1/2017 10:32 | So...I wrote to AIM Regulation and I've challenged TD Direct Investing as to why, with six market makers I couldn't get a firm quote on more than 100 share to buy... This was their farcical answer... "They (the Global Trading Team) have confirmed that they can switch off electronic quotes when a stock is volatile....." So that proves it! | rougepierre
20/1/2017 10:26 | Atalaya Mining Atalaya Mining are a Spain-focussed copper miner whose share price, after years of trending lower rocketed in November on the back of operational updates and broker upgrades. The shares then fell back in December on profit- taking and possible fears over having to raise more cash. Short comment from " The Share Centre" today. | saintb
20/1/2017 10:16 | Aha! Finally!!! You can buy 100 at 152! Yippee... | rougepierre
20/1/2017 10:15 | Somebody got bored out of 11K shares.... | shortarm
20/1/2017 10:02 | I think you've hit the nail on the head there shorter...unfortunat Acamas and LLB...yep that's about it... PS I've given up writing to AIM about manipulation that allows no quote at NMS and a far lower bid than the actual price in massive size... Although now I come to think about it, after I wrote last week the Bid popped from 151 to 155 and its much more reflective of the actual electronic quotes since... | rougepierre
20/1/2017 09:56 | Acamas, that could well happen, I know Astor is pending, but when you take into account the scale of PRT, and the LOM potential, not yet built into the 43-101 NPV, the $53M we are arguing over isn't really that big a deal.., a lower number, or spread over a longer term of 10 years which may well be the outcome, you can call it an 'overhead'...! We are now a cash generating machine.. :o) | laurence llewelyn binliner
20/1/2017 09:08 | I am honestly expecting one morning to click onto ADVFN and see ATYM at the top of the leader board with a fair sized increase overnight. When the world wakes to the fact that AL has produced a real money making operation with loads of upside and nil downside. People will say why did we not spot this a few months ago | acamas
20/1/2017 09:02 | Seems a reasonable assessment to me.We just need someone who really wants a few to get involved and just take 10 or 20k over the ask :-) | shortarm
20/1/2017 08:57 | rp, I am thinking along the lines that there is a large order being filled slowly. But because the shares are held tight the MM's have time on their side to complete that large order. We have the court case which might lower the price a tad. Not much financial news before April what is the rush. Cash is King and this buyer can take his time getting to where he is going imo with the assistance of the MM's in his pay bwdik | acamas
20/1/2017 08:52 | Acamas, you can't even buy a thousand shares online.... NMS is 2,500 I believe - I'm happy to listen to anyone's explanation as to what is occurring? | shortarm
20/1/2017 08:48 | Fair question Acamas...so why do you think the MMs have been bidding for so many and offering so few..? Surelyvin ordinary circumstances there would be a better balance and the share price would be drifting lower...? | rougepierre
20/1/2017 08:39 | shortarm, Don't we need sustained buying power to make this pop. I do not yet see this occurring that is why in my mind I am not pointing the finger of suspicion at the MM's. I am not even sure I know the daily volume level on average required to create the momentum we are all seeking | acamas
20/1/2017 08:29 | How many times Cufe?????We all know there is no Humble in your opinion! | shortarm
20/1/2017 08:18 | Yaaaaawn . . . IMHO . . . | cufes2
20/1/2017 08:14 | Zero shares available and can sell at 151.....When are they going to let this POP!! | shortarm
19/1/2017 18:56 | RP, no I can't explain that, the figures I posted are a cut and past from the Hargreaves Lansdown site showing share trades for that day. Regards | stockknobjockeyvanbookstino
19/1/2017 18:35 | Some important economic data due from China early hours. Lets see if it gives copper a boost in the morning. | iankn73
19/1/2017 17:12 | rp, I agree with your figures which concur with the figures I have at hand | acamas |
