Damn I was just going to mention my 12 year old vauxhall Zafira as it must have some copper in it.

Being a leek and dandelion man I am wondering whether anyone watched Coast last night - I should know my own heritage but I had absolutely no knowledge of the fact that at one time two thirds of the world's copper was produced in the Swansea area and that copper,on the bottom of our warships, made our speed and manouevrability superior to the French so that we could more easily give them the usual whipping.

Just a bit of historical info for my fellow posters.

GLEN, ANTO,VED etc up. Wonder how we're doing.

Please don't ban me Erric as I will be forced to post on the other board

Well that is because no news from ATYM must be good news

Quite right too. Reading an article on GLEN atm which reminded me that whilst zinc has gone up 42% this year copper had only gone up 2.9%. Despite GLEN cutting its copper production. Sort of helps to explain our share price

It only goes to prove, rouge, as did their preference for remaining in the EU that rather than reducing the voting age to 16 they should increase it to 30 so that these naïve young idealists (we were like that once, remember) would have some experience of real life before they can vote.

Also that nice sweet reasonable shadow chancellor was apparently thrown out of Ken Livingstone's London cabal for being TOO left wing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No idea rouge although I am still digesting the idea that Jeremy will resolve the immigration problem by equalising the wages throughout Europe.

This he will be doing on the weekends when he isn't bringing peace to the entire world by getting everyone to talk to each other.

(Apart of course from his own MPs who he will exterminate)

A reassuringly tight market now...

85 to sell and 85.7 to buy...

chart suggests a firm move above $2.20 in the next couple of weeks could signal a breakout...

Meanwhile Franco Nevada are turning their attention from gold to other commodities to deploy their $1.5bn acquisition portfolio...

and Macquarie believe copper prices have put in a floor...which just happens to be just above the level at which ATYM makes money at full production...

cheers lango...merely chewing the cud while waiting...

meanwhile the copper price has recovered to $2.1784 but you can still buy size at 85.9...
