17/12/2018 10:30 | Longer term they could benefit and gain market share out of this savage retail storm, some of the rivals will be hurting, maybe more, so likely to scale back operations, run into difficulties or simply go under. ASC has a large slice of the cake, which could get larger Just bought 100 to test the water, see what happens over the medium term, if I get a 10-20% very short term gain, I will just close the trade. | ny boy
17/12/2018 10:25 | In some ways, Cameron was caught in the contradiction that is our democracy, where to run the government, he had to make promises to a party that had much fewer votes, but who held a ridiculous amount of power. Very similar to the DUP now. Its the same democracy that allows a few nimbys to stop a much needed development, when the majority want it. | yump
17/12/2018 10:22 | tomboyb Well the worst part of it all was that at the start the voucher code sites put up pages with 'show (retailer) discount code' links, when the retailer had no discount code, or had never ever issued one. As a result visitors clicked on it and everyone else's cookies were overwritten. The affiliate networks took no action and neither did the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), other than asking the sites 'nicely' not to do encourage clicks where no code was present. Unfortunately VC and cashback sites started to deliver such high sales volumes that the retailers became scared of axing them, as another retailer might benefit. | yump |
