15/4/2015 10:11 | Rupe1958, I wouldn't reckon on it The ground needs to be sterilised and left fallow for a number of years (5-10) If they can plant beans that might help. AIMHO | piedro
15/4/2015 10:10 | After timing and annoying for long term holders but I did dip in end March at 5.6p and sold yesterday at 8.2p 😁 I rarely get it right so this is nice for a change just need to see how far this will be driven down now, may get in again at sub 5p management statements from companies based overseas are very different to ones here, the CEO here would have said 'whilst this is an unfortunate blip we remain FULLY confident of blah blah blah! These guys just like to fall on their swords each time! | finkie
15/4/2015 09:43 | Well, we've been suggesting on this board at the company tries to quantify the canker problem and now we have it. It's a major outbreak and they can't yet confirm its full extent. They are indicating an 18% tree loss at Xinfeng, which is about 300k trees. If that is the maximum extent of canker damage we'll be fine. But at the moment we don't know if tree losses will be higher. | rupe1958
15/4/2015 09:23 | Must be the Cassandra Syndrome !!! | piedro
15/4/2015 09:21 | Yet more dreadful news. This company seems to have an unfortunate knack of lurching from one problem to another. This disease will wipe out an entire plantation. Sub 6p coming again here for sure. I hold a stack so very disappointed. I am sure we will get a good return here but we are going to have to be very patient. | fozzie
10/4/2015 19:02 | For months I have watched the price waiting for a sign that the decline might come to an end as I am convinced that by 2016 ACHL will be back in profit and we will be looking forward (mistakenly perhaps)to some good years. Emboldened by the recent recovery from 5.5p I have at last dipped my toe in the pool again, paying 7.42p, and hope that within a few weeks we shall see the share price well on its way back to 20p and beyond. The arrival of spring reminds me that many moribund-looking plants do recover ! | varies
10/4/2015 18:58 | Agreed, plenty of evidence of mismanagement tho | hereford29
10/4/2015 16:50 | Lennon I agree this bounce is temporary and we will probably retest lows. Still no evidence of fraud here... | rjmahan

10/4/2015 09:07 | But by the time they definitely make money stock will have trippled... | rjmahan
10/4/2015 08:27 | Until another warning comes along from ACHL. I would not be buying until they start to make money, doesn't matter how cheap they seem or the recent up change in direction. Good luck if you can scalp a few pounds on this, but it needs substance behind the change. | lennonsalive
10/4/2015 08:20 | Hong Kong is in the driving seat. Above 1 and we are off to the races free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | muffinhead
09/4/2015 22:57 | Auditors. The bane of planet earth.Thank you anyway. | wigwammer
09/4/2015 18:35 | More buyers than sellers perhaps? Probably Deloitte Audit Partners piling in. That was a red herring. Respected auditors, oxymoron. Tort-ology, the art of harming others by deliberate wrongdoing. Auditor, one who commits the tortious act. The management of this company? Whatever, this is for trading, not investing. | hereford29
09/4/2015 17:20 | Up she goes! | wigwammer
09/4/2015 17:19 | Yeah, investors would be much better served without all the auditing gumph.This. Is. Dull.Ps tautology | wigwammer

08/4/2015 23:01 | Strange that a Chinese investor based in China could not buy shares in ACHL...now possible "Stock Connect" and money flows China’s securities regulator announced at the end of March that mutual funds could access Stock Connect | muffinhead
08/4/2015 22:54 | Pilot market for chinese farmers in rural land ownership reform This could have huge ramifications going forward Allotted "shares" in new rural land enterprises or cooperatives will provide a means of transfer of ownership which could increase land values as investment is secured. The intention of the Ministry of Agriculture must be to encourage modernisation of farming | muffinhead
07/4/2015 20:31 | Corporate governance is a pretty dull subject, but if you insist.ACHL is audited by baker tilly and deloitte touche, two of the most respected accounting and auditing companies on the planet. What issue have you seen that they haven't, and what evidence do you have for it? | wigwammer
07/4/2015 11:51 | Don't you think that the fact the company lacks decent corporate governance and is unable to manage risk has something to do with where it is heading and what it is worth? Or you see this as a significantly undervalued company with little debt, cash in the bank to cover operating costs and much lower than justified PE ratio based on forecastable future revenues? | hereford29
06/4/2015 22:28 | "Purchases from the Group's five largest suppliers accounted for approximately 37.5% of the Group's total purchases for the year and purchases from the Group's largest supplier amounted to approximately 11.8%." AR 2013/14Fact: the largest supplier constitutes just 11.8% of total costs. | wigwammer |
