Not guessing. If the market thought a bid was likely at 41p the share price would be a bit below that. The market could be wrong but in bid situations is often a good guide. The tone of your post 327 means it is probably not worth bothering to reply to you again.

More likely news has leaked that there is not going to be a bid at 41p.

as the *possible* offer was 41p you couldn't expect the share price to stay at 37p. the risk/reward poor at that price. say 27p/28p is fair. if no offer then perhaps 18p so that's why 27p/28p is reasonable

One short term possible outcome is a return to high 20's. Logic is that now GM postponed there is no immediate urgency to offer from either side. Both parties have two or three weeks to make an offer or walk away (can't be bothered to check exact dates)

Therefore perhaps 37p is a little too high/close to 41p right now as we've not actually had an offer. Risk/reward now neutral?

Anyway, took a two day 28% profit.

I do not wish to be ''thought frivolous'' but is it not possible that Rothschild will now bid more than 41p? If so, I do not know what level would suit but it has to be at a level which causes the others to back off. 45p? 47p?

Simon, thought frivolous? Given your size! Of information! I doubt it very much.

Do give my regards to John and crowd!! No justice, in this wicked, evil world, especially to do with money. As ever 2J

Still don't know what to make of it all. At best the two sides trying to outbid each other. Then, yes, perhaps 50p for the knockout? Postponement of the meeting suggests it is indeed a serious bid and that both sides are now talking to each other.

But what happens if the new bidder just walks away? Are we then back to Rothschild's 25p open offer? And what if both sides walk away? The share price today suggests the bid at 41p has a good chance of succeeding. At worst ARMS could still go bust.

All the comment here is like mine.. i.e no idea really what is going on now. Wish we knew!
