"Some degree of hostility," is an understatement! Any who know the history of this will also know that anything is possible now too, from ARMS going bust at worst to, it seems, a bid at 41p at best. It could also be quite likely that the two sides are talking with each other right now and some sort of compromise deal could be cobbled by Wednesday. ARMS is worth a punt now for those who can afford to take the risk, as the reward, if it comes will be fast and with over 40% upside possible very soon. Against that knowing the previous history be prepared for anything!

kenmitch,

agreed. there are a lot of buys tho' the volume isn't particularly high.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a bid late on Tuesday as there seems to some degree of hostility between the two factions and they want to cause as much damage the one to the other. Just need to get it sorted so that the business can be run as it seems to have significant potential.

domple.

I don't think we can read anything in to the small share price moves so far today, and the share price is suggesting that there won't be a bid. Against that, IF the Sunday Times article is accurate and Danny Forston hasn't been hoodwinked then a bid before the vote on Wednesday is very likely. So 28p looks very tempting .. but also risky.

the company seems to be playing games. why issue a rns saying no offer? will they keep doing that everyday an offer is not received. they want to give the shareholders the jitters methinks and say you cant treat ACE seriously.

However, it shows Arms to be the one who is scared by having to use such tactics.

A little tick up, who knows what today has in store...

Exclusive article in Sunday Times yesterday suggested a bid could come as soon as today. IF their information is correct the potential bidder has plenty of firepower with assets around $6billion.

Share price reaction this morning though suggests no bid. We should soon know.

Just looking at taking up the open offer now before Friday.

Working on the basis that Argyle will buy these rights as well, that must mean that they'll pay 41p for my 25p share. BUT they appear to be talking about an alternative way of funding with rights at 28p?

Not too sure where I stand on that one so am off to review.

NN would expect any long term holders would be wanting £1+ at least.

Not that they will get it!

Anyone out there know what a full and fair offer would look like for ARMS shares ? .

clearly, the ACE believe ARMS can be a very profitable business and that is why they've stepped in. They should put their offer on the table and force the board's position who will have to recommend acceptance or rejection of the offer but may be compromised because of their own holdings in the company.
Fascinating board room battle. This should see the stock rise further. it seems to be worth a minimum of 26p and could go up to 41p relatively quickly as far as I see it. dyor, imho and wash your hands after you go to the lav.
