ascaplehorn I think your right they are not the same company, which is odd because Capita Registrars sent me the news release and as I only have an interest in Asia Capital plc. it would appear their looking at the wrong shareholder list. Sorry for any false hope but will post if I receive anymore news. Kingsbridge

tried but not answering when i phoned. Guess we have to just wait. Is this even the right company? I think this might be for lodon asia capital London Asia Capital plc is listed on the London Stock Markets' AiM market (code LDC.L) for high growth businesses. It began operations in September 2002. http://www.londonasiacapital.com/ I have paid no real attention to this lot for years so any further information would be good.

ascaplehorn If anyone has the time today they could ring either Keith Negal or Jack Wigglesworth on the numbers listed above and find out the current shareholder situation. Unfortunately I'm stuck in meetings all day. Kingsbridge.

How come one can't just take over a shell like this if there is no interest in it from the directors who ran it?

Do shareholders have any rights with a company that has shut up shop and not contactable? It would seem amazing that shareholders could be shafted in this way and not have anyone to appeal to.

The company has no business, They have set themselves up to be a shell so someone can reverse into them. No one has come forward to offer a deal. They were suspended in september (i think) with 6 months to do a deal. as yet no news. If they do not find a deal then they will be kicked off the markets and we will all loose our money. The management are unreachable and the brokers have nothing to say on the subject. some theories that they will just run the company down and offset the losses against profits on other companies they own. basically we are all stuffed. There was talks of various deals but none have come to fruition.

If a deal was in the process of being done then the share would still have been suspended. The fact that we had director changes and share purchases prior to the suspension would indicate that a deal is indeed being done and we can do no more than wait to see what it is. I would like to see it be Portwise because it would be a great share to own with excellent potential, but at the moment there is no certainty that it is this company. This deal could take a while yet so I would suggest that rather than have endless chat about possibles we should restrict posts to only those that provide information.

My last post doesnt make much sense however on why a new director was appointed late last month if we had reached the end of the road. Still think however if a deal was imminent we would be seeing more action than this.

There are 2 attractions to asi capital losses for tax purposes and a listing. The listing itself is worth 400k if that goes next week there really isnt a great deal left here hence the miserly quote of .3p. I think if it does get delisted that will proberbly be the last we here of it apart from a letter to say no suitable company had been found and the company has been wound up.

What incentive is there for the management to take the company from the stock market, what happens to the shareholders money? The most frustrating part is that there is no communications from the company, not even a website you can check.

Not looking good imo with only a week to go now I would have thought we would have seen a bit more buying activity if there was a deal on the table. The fact that its so quiet would suggest this is going to get suspended, then it could be years before anything happens. The shell becomes less attractive as it will lose its stock market listing aswell.
