10/8/2017 15:18 | 1600 failed to support so down to 1580. Brakes need to go on to slow it down. 1550 if it must, below that and knees start trembling. | bracke
10/8/2017 15:01 | DD4I'm with you.....'too much to learn and so little time'! | kilgallp
10/8/2017 13:12 | Good day Disco As I type it's down 47. My chart suggests it has further to fall. | bracke
10/8/2017 13:04 | Hello bracke,Can't see you're RDSB chart as using the ADVFN app.It is ex div today though (36p).DD | discodave4

10/8/2017 09:19 | New notes will serve to assist profitability going forward due to lower interest coupon (2% lower).Main benefit other than increased availability of funds is tying in low interest rates for a longer period at a time when expectation is of slowly increasing base rates (assuming no global economic meltdown in meantime). | mjcferguson
10/8/2017 08:26 | "Offer, $561,743,000 aggregate principal amount of Notes were validly tendered" "The Company will provide an irrevocable notice to The Bank of New York Mellon, the trustee, collateral agent and paying agent of the Notes, of its intent to redeem all of the outstanding Notes that are not purchased in the Offer" Looks like they are redeeming ALL the 6.5% notes then. | fenners66
09/8/2017 19:30 | Ian - No problem, decisions decisions!fennersBou | discodave4
09/8/2017 18:25 | Trump's My dad's bigger than your dad guide to being presidential. Thing is though it may appeal to his electorate - would it be fair to brand the majority of them stupid enough to like it? | fenners66
09/8/2017 12:53 | Good day ian It seems that any self respecting dictator has to have nuclear weapons to avoid the same fate as Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi.......and so it goes on. "I assume our AHT equipment is insured against war risks...?" ==================== I think that the insurers will claim Act of Trump. No payout. The share price seems to have found a base at 1620 for the time being. We await the opening of the US markets. | bracke
09/8/2017 12:15 | Good morning bracke, It's not the sabre rattling which worries me, but the thought of the two men with the biggest egos in the world with fingers poised over the nuclear trigger goading each other like school bullies. Nevertheless, a drop to 1580 might prove irresistible, I assume our AHT equipment is insured against war risks...? . | ianwwwhite
09/8/2017 11:06 | That's an unfortunate drop this morning just when it appeared that the share price was making headway. The market does not like the sound of Mr Trump's sabre rattling. Is this a chance for all you intrepid types to buy? 1600 is looking likely. If the US decides to sell off further 1580 is the next stop. | bracke
09/8/2017 09:44 | Disco Thanks for providing an insight into your AHT thoughts. Can't argue with your logic! . | ianwwwhite
09/8/2017 09:42 | fenners I expect the Clontarf boys love it really, it probably takes their minds off watching their moribund shares :-) . | ianwwwhite
08/8/2017 22:04 | Just bought Shell after catching the CEO on Bloomberg on results morning - if I recall correctly he said something about $10bn free cash flow after reducing costs and I thought that might be enough to pay me a dividend! Up about 5% since. Bracke yes upsetting the Clontarf mob followers - they don't have much of a sense of humour either! | fenners66
08/8/2017 19:10 | Thanks Ian and bracke.Just checked my spreadsheet and for this current tax year AHT is down 2.5%, only have one other holding that is negative over that period and that's an oiler! (down 30% but still in profit). That said AHT has the largest return / profit since I've held but have been holding over 5 years.Gone crab like for a while now....not me!, AHT.Will see what happens but if doesn't break out of this range then will consider taking some off the table.DD | discodave4
08/8/2017 16:50 | OK Own up!! Who sold at the close? Very underhanded. Perhaps we need look no further than one who has been 'dissing' our 'precious' of late. Anyone got a horse whip!! | bracke
08/8/2017 14:58 | Good day disco, Perhaps a better yardstick would be to compare AHT with your other current shareholdings rather than the FTSE - I wonder if AHT is your worst performer? In the meantime 1670 seems to be a bit of a speed bump at present, support or resistance, I am looking forward to seeing which way it breaks.. | ianwwwhite |
