Hi bracke,

I think 'plane' is much more in keeping with your status on this board! 😄

In the meantime AHT has managed another bounce today, and reclaimed some ground. It's beginning to look like your purchase was well timed, if you have the patience to wait until upward momentum returns.

Good day ian

I was thinking of large open space but it seems I am incorrect. Plane has it.

Elite Gurus definitely do not "take one for the team'. They are individualists with independent views and analysis. Operating as a 'team' is anathema to the Elite who inhabit a higher plain.

Good day bracke, thought as an elite guru that the T's & C's of such anIllustrious position would have included taking one for the team!.:)DD

Razor...not a 4 digit one, not sure why that matters, but I've always traded aviva for 10 - 20ps within a range as bracke may well testify...

I suggest that you access a list of FTSE 100 companies and work your way through them to identify those that match your criteria.

Almost escaped my notice.

From the RNS dated 7th July:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Sat Dhaiwal, chief executive
of A-Plant, will be retiring from the Company in July 2018'.....
....'As part of the Company's long-term succession planning, Richard Thomas will
succeed Sat upon his retirement next year as CEO of A-Plant. Richard joined
A-Plant as finance director in November 2011 and has been managing director of
its Specialist Products Division since July 2015.'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Seems like Sat has done a good job over many years (24) and will no doubt be missed.

Replacement already identified in house, should lead to an orderly seamless transition (imho).

Hi thread contributors. I've been watching AHT for a few weeks and had a few, small, swing trades that have worked quite well. It seems to be a good share for spread betting from what I have experienced so far. I wondered if there were any other shares like this - 4 figure share price, close spread and seems to trade within ranges. I'm interested to watch a few more and would appreciate any pointers. Thanks

Hi bracke, Yep it was Trump related but more to do with talk of impeachment, Russia, etc, and Wall Street dragged all other markets down on the 18th May.hTTp://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-39953112DD

Good day 2flat

I see it broke below 1550 this morning but is trying to regain the support level.

That drop in May - I can't remember what was happening but wasn't there something occurring with Trump and infrastructure spending?

I do not use stop losses.A wise Guru once told me to be able to sleep at night even when shorting AHT is bet size.
I see the exchange rate as a fact of life but not such a big factor IMO.
I have planned and in fact hoping for a pull back.
The one thing that troubles me was the unexplained drop on 18 May 17 any ideas on that?
Cheers

Interesting that AHT has been falling but URI has been rising. I have pondered if the AHT fall is due to the change in the GBP:USD there does appear to be some correlation, but not a lot. See link below.

AHT is resting on the Daily SMA 200. It's likely it will drop below by default ie. as the Daily SMA 200 continues to rise it will move above the share price

"so I have moved some funds into my SB account and intend to make a killing?? I am Just jealous you bought in so low ."
===================================================================================

I wish you well with your 'killing'. If you do take a sbet be prepared for a drop to 1500 and position your stop loss accordingly. My purchase was opportunism allied to 'if you can't beat them join them'.

Afternoon bracke
Basically I think it is going cheep or even cheap.
I am back to my old strategy of buy when it drops below 150 day SMA
and jump in at the 200.
If it goes lower I will buy more I am fairly light of Aht (for me) , so I have moved some funds into my SB account and intend to make a killing?? I am Just jealous you bought in so low .
Do not forget there is £150 M. of buy back money just waiting the chance to help little old us .
Cheers

I presume you think 1550 will hold otherwise you would not be buying at this level. Why do you think it will hold?
