07/3/2017 12:05 | Good day ian "God forbid anyone suggests a takeover!" ==================== That will have got fenners heart racing! | bracke
07/3/2017 11:43 | Good morning fenners I do like your 'PEG' approach to appraising AHT shares, this solves the problem of taking out the Trump distortion neatly. Thanks! By another measure, cashflow is very strong as well. . | ianwwwhite
07/3/2017 11:39 | Could be worse... Aggreko the Generator Hire company have posted final results which are considered disappointing, the shares are currently down 11.44%, at 937p (-121p). I am not a holder. God forbid anyone suggests a takeover! . | ianwwwhite
07/3/2017 10:51 | Just bought some back. Unfortunately, had a problem late last night so missed the start of the day, when I would have got them back much cheaper :-( | kilgallp
07/3/2017 10:42 | Thanks bracke. Encouraged by the following in your 'TheStreet link: 'Analysts at Jefferies reiterated their buy rating for the shares on Tuesday and increased their price target to 2000p, citing faster growth and low balance sheet leverage relative to peers.' Also note that Peel Hunt have retained 'buy' rating, target 1800p today (7/3/17) Anxiously await DB forecast, they were in the analysts meeting this morning! . | ianwwwhite
07/3/2017 10:00 | That was very naughty wasn't it. Price dropped 119 points on opening so those who traded long yesterday on the expectation of a quick profit would have been stopped out unless they set their stop a long way down. The covering by buying would then take the share price back up. Very nasty but all part of the 'game'. | bracke
07/3/2017 09:30 | Jim Slater's Zulu principle had a PEG of less than 1 as one criteria for growth/value investments. Some dismiss high PE ratings (>15-20) but neglect to check PEG so miss the point, particularly when it's less than one.DD | discodave4
07/3/2017 09:13 | Wow just got back from a walk and that's a nice rebound. I don't use PEG but have just read up on wiki that PE / Growth as a % translated into a number so 17/25 = PEG of 0.68 That's below 1 so is good but I have no frame of reference | fenners66
07/3/2017 08:56 | I'm in on this morning's fall - been watching for a while now and the future looks pretty positive. Suet | suetballs
07/3/2017 08:31 | Third quarter never very exciting.News that capex will be at top end of guidance is very positive. | mjcferguson
07/3/2017 08:28 | Back in,too soon maybe. Cheers | 2flatpack
07/3/2017 08:13 | So I guess that has us sat on 17x EPS with a 25% annual growth rate and possibly Trump infrastructure spend to come..... | fenners66
07/3/2017 08:08 | Results good. Opened a small long this morning. First AHT position for a while. | lairddavid
07/3/2017 08:07 | Using the average of this years quarterly growth over same qtr last year I estimate full year EPS of 101.8p | fenners66
07/3/2017 08:01 | Opens down - but with a gap | fenners66
07/3/2017 07:53 | Operating cash 250m ahead of last year Net cash generated from/(used in) operating activities 137.5 (117.8) | fenners66
07/3/2017 07:39 | Current trading and outlook (source RNS) -------------------- Both divisions continue to perform well. Accordingly, we expect full year results to be in line with our expectations and the Board continues to look to the medium term with confidence. -------------------- . | ianwwwhite
07/3/2017 07:34 | As expected, another great set of results in Q3. Now what will the market make of it? . | ianwwwhite
07/3/2017 00:37 | I still have this thread on my read list from before - hence found it. Count me in Glenn, ( you should already know ) its Ibrox just using this name from my PC - Ibrox is on my phone Any idea on timing? | fenners66
07/3/2017 00:32 | Me shorting ? Certainly NOT! Just looking at the dizzy heights of the chart. However I do see that URI rose against the market today ... so who knows. Rescuer count me in would be good to meet up again. | fenners66
06/3/2017 19:59 | Thanks bracke et al for answering my cheeky questions, appreciated. What a mix of strategies there are on this board......probably why it's such an invaluable source of information and opinions. As I asked some questions then only fair I state my position (have previously but...), been in since 2012 (£3.90), only top sliced thus far and will hold indefinitely. Take my hat off (bracke) to anybody that day trades (or trades over weeks), couldn't do it myself.........yep lazy! but also have a day job so can't look at the screen all day watching every point....oh and don't understand TA!.....oh and wouldn't want the stress (its bad enough as it is!).Tomorrow - guess it's odds on favourite for excellent results but profit taking and share price down at close of play...........brack | discodave4
06/3/2017 18:21 | ian LTH's typical. Just sit on their rears and wait for AHT to deliver. Just wait till the goose stops laying the 'golden eggs' that will get them moving. | bracke
06/3/2017 18:13 | bracke The LTHs did discuss a collection for you to show our appreciation, but then lethargy set in again :-) . | ianwwwhite
06/3/2017 18:03 | Clarky - if you have any contacts in your neck of the woods for good accomodation - you might even provide some rock n roll for us on friday night :-) | rescuer |
