You can't take it back now, the fates have obliged.

I was a little surprised that although the Dow took a dive AHT was very eager to follow. However I smell a rat. Results on the 7th which odds on will be good and then......oh look up 40/50 points, there's a surprise!!

Unusually a down day for AHT

Hello to all,
I've been behind the scenes (a lurker I suppose) for years.
In fact, since 2002. I joined because I wanted to find out where to invest a small amount of spare cash (£1000). It was a choice between 3 companies and Ashtead became my choice in April 2003. I've been creaming off every now and then, but I've remained with them ever since. A bumpy but very exciting upward ride.
So, to say thankyou to all your inputs and outputs, here's a little something I found that becomes relevant at around the 2 minute mark.

Probably time for me to give you all another of my 'gems'.

The share price is certainly consolidating at 1700 probably in preparation for the 'zoom' up come 07 March. We must not forget Mr Trump's promise on 09 February of “phenomenal plan to overhaul business taxes may be released within the next “two or three weeks”.

So you ask what about your shorts bracke, good question. Looks like it's going to be a loss, just a question of the size.

If there are any replies to the above I will expect due deference and the usual obsequious grovelling.

I am hoping the results will provide a real yardstick to compare actual trading performance against current share price, excluding the much hyped 'Trump effect'.

I assume you took out a further short to jack up your break-even point as the price rose yesterday?
