09/3/2016 08:40 | Acting like somethings fundamentally wrong in Ashstead but nothing is visible at the moment I can see....With broker shareprice targets down to £7.70 is also likely to drive the price down too. Regards,Source. | source
09/3/2016 08:22 | Have AHT been demoted to AIM and nobody told us?.......unbelievab | discodave4
09/3/2016 08:22 | Cr Suisse downgrades and reduces TP from 1300 to 770. Lunatics. | broadwood

08/3/2016 13:53 | Blackrock have reduced their shares on loan by about 300k, increased their CFD by nearly 1.5million and their total voting rights has increased from nearly 31.5 million to 32.8 million (an increase of 0.25% from the holdings RNS 29th Jan).DD | discodave4
08/3/2016 13:42 | 2flat I can't see any evidence that BlackRock are increasing their holding. | bracke
08/3/2016 13:29 | bracke I agree . Looking at this mornings RNS I believe Blackrocks are building a position and they are well known to short whilst building. I suppose when you've shorted from 1000 to 1100 and there is no sign of upward pressure you can take your time and don't forget the money they hold from the selling may be involved in other projects. If you check on Short Interest Tracker it lists the disclosed shorting these Hedge Funds are involved with but its the undisclosed shorter that are probable in control. Cheers | 2flatpack
08/3/2016 11:32 | 2flat It does cause one to ponder why the shorters did not take full advantage of the large fall following the results. Surely any 'normal' trader would have covered the short and taken the profit. It just leads me to think that another 'game' is being played. | bracke

05/3/2016 11:28 | Tempus (The Times mid-week view?) Buy Ashtead. The plant hire company saw its shares fall significantly during yesterday’s session, leaving the stock some 26 per cent down from December’s highs. The column says such a decline can’t be justified unless you take a very pessimistic view of the US economy – the market seems to be reacting to a cutting back of planned capital spend, but this has come at the end of a hefty fleet replacement programme, so there should be no surprise in this. With reduced spend paving the way for a dividend hike and the stock trading on a 10 times multiple, there’s plenty to like here. | ianwwwhite
04/3/2016 21:53 | 2flatNo probs, some interesting info in there.You too IWDD | discodave4
04/3/2016 17:36 | bracke Many thanks for this steer. In the mean time URI are currently 3.5% up, so if they can keep this until the close, it augurs well for next week. I guess the market liked the US payroll figures. Have a great weekend all! Ian | ianwwwhite
