12/10/2016 20:24 | Vale Indonesia said that easing the ban risked flooding the overseas market and undermining prices. The proposal had also irked some Chinese investors who had spent billions of dollars on smelters in Indonesia, according to Jonatan Handojo, vice chairman of the refining industry association.Nickel prices advanced as much as 1.9 percent to $10,620 a ton on the London Metal Exchange on Wednesday, the highest in more than a week, and traded at $10,615 by 3:23 p.m. local time. The metal fell to a low of $7,550 in February, the cheapest in more than a decade.Posted on lse | tidy 2

10/10/2016 21:33 | From last thurs. Spread at time 2.25/2.35 = 6.25m buy 2.344p. Seems deep pockets having their orders filled. BDT has info on instis loading up from a meeting he attended. All good. That's circa >20m shares in tranches scooped up. Underpinning nicely. | tidy 2

10/10/2016 14:26 | Based on last RNS, within the next 5 months the Smelter should be restarted, as long as Nickel maintains price of 10k/tn. Notwithstanding the recent run-up in SP, I still don't think Market Cap of £40m reflects ASA's true worth, particularly if we are starting to see more investment/ business friendly Zimbabwe government which country desperately needs: a) Freda producing 70K oz per year Gold at AISC ca. 1,000-1,050 b) Bindura producing 8,500tn Nickel at AISC ca. 5,000/tn (profits rise exponentially with Smelter restart, as current Glencore Offtake Agreement ASA realise 65% spot price. With Nickel products from Smelter, on avg. will realise 85% spot) c) Zani-Kodo - 3m oz resource at 3g/t grades d) Positive leftfield surprises from other assets not factored into SP: drilling results in DRC copper belt from Hailang, commercialisation of Agriculture and Diamonds, Third Party Agreements with PGM miners to use Smelter | redtrend
10/10/2016 13:52 | Yep full ask. 6.5m 7 tranches bought | tidy 2 |
