Good point BB but I believe that ONL management see that company as a kind of parent to nurture offspring ideas which are then floated off.
AKI and Advertwizard could have been successful under the right market conditions but suffered adversely, mainly, from lack of finance to further develope them?
The situation has changed now and in the recent ONL chairman's statement, Mr Michael Hodges says in 'Operating Review: In respect of AKI where we hold an 82% stake, we are continuing to search for new opportunities. This process is ongoing and an announcement will be made as soon as I have further news.
Prospects: With ADVFN a market leader, and discussions ongoing in respect of Akaei, I believe On line is now set in such a way to allow us to be able to work with our investments to maximise their potential. Your board looks forward to the future with confidence.'
It seems to me that these guys are full of good ideas and are likely to come up with a winning idea for AKI, if they haven't already? Those that lost money on the AKI float but stayed with the company might get their money back yet?
Personally I have only invested long term in the ADVFN and Online parts of the group but am now happy to back this team on AKI also. If they do annouce an idea for AKI then I may well be prepared to invest more money into it.
All the best, Mike D.

Fair point but ONL is nothing more than a holding company with a bunch of AFN shares and AKI shares with the overheads to go with it. Why not just use ONL to house any new ideas?

BB; I bought them because the ONL/AFN management team & staff are full of good internet ideas and would now be able to raise the funding, I believe to regenerate AKI?

why did you buy them? Interested as there are many other techs that are flying out there. Surely there is a better short term or long "bet" that a bombed out shell with debts greater than cash.

Amusing how the whole ramping team got bored and moved on leaving s flat line share price.

Stew did a reasonable job although he kept the conversation going longer than necessary to create a "debate".

Fun reading at least

thread title a bit misleading for this co. Very high for a co. with net liabilities of £250-300k by now. Co. needs to get a deal away, but can't see this being at a very beneficial price for current investors - a technically insolvent position is not a very strong bargaining posn.

NCS another one which could rise heavily, announced in the summer that they were in discussion regarding a RTO. Spread narrowed considerably since the last rise, 0.47-0.55 pence. Maybe worth a look.

GoodNight.

Not so! The chart is incorrect. The shares floated at 10p.

For all the those bullish on AKI I suggest you go back and check out the scandelous way this company was floated. The involvement of Hoodless Brennan caused a storm of protest at the time.

Stew

No problem. I think every thread needs balance to help the novice investor from falling victim to the rampers.

That's me done.

Yes, as far as I can see you're the only poster who has had a meaningful exchange of opinions with Stew. My comments were aimed at the muppets on this thread, I didn't intend to target you personally, apologies if it came across that way.

I'm sure the MM will find a mug to sell it onto.

p.s. I'm not here to 'spoil', but I think Stew has some valid points and I don't like to see people attacking him and threatening to report him just for expressing his valid opinions.

I'm with him on this one.

Let him post his informed views in peace, or I'll be back to stand in his corner.

( That includes you LOGI...king of the rampers! )

MM tree shake guys don't let them have your stock cheap they normally put the price back up if you don't sell.

A MM buy proves they are short of stock

The wonderful thing about Rampers
Is Rampers are wonderful chaps
They're loaded with vim and with vigor
They love to leap in your laps
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN
But the most wonderful thing about Rampers
Is they take the money and run.
