I'm assuming this means people already in debt have greater means to pay off their debts?

Insolvency Service: Personal insolvencies at 10-year low

The number of people being declared insolvent has fallen to its lowest level for nearly a decade, figures show. The Insolvency Service said 18,866 individuals became insolvent in England and Wales between April and June.

That is a fall of 29.3% on the same period a year ago, and the lowest total since the summer of 2005. The number of companies going bust has also fallen to its lowest in more than seven years.

Imranawan - no particular news I'm aware of. Share price has been range bound for the last 18 months despite the growth in the business and the acquisition. Perhaps the market is starting to account for this ?

Any idea as to the reason for the breakout? I think interims are published at the end of August, so a little surprised in the share price surge. Not complaining though!

Henry - I'm afraid I don't know either; the company makes no mention of interest rate rises in its reports and it isn't listed as 'principle risk' in the AR so I presume they don't see it having a material affect.

Anyone of you holders have a view of the effect a rate rise would have on Arrow? I cant get my head around whether its good for new business or bad for default risk. I don't hold yet but I do like the numbers.

· Adjusted EBITDA up 40.7% to £32.8 million (Q1 2014: £23.3 million); Adjusted EBITDA ratio 64.2% (Q1 2014: 70.0%)

· Profit attributable to shareholders up 133.3% to £5.2 million (Q1 2014: £2.2 million)

· Underlying net income up 7.7% to £5.7 million (Q1 2014: £5.3 million)

· Acquired debt portfolios with face value of £583.9 million for an aggregate purchase price of £52.1 million, with a 120-month gross cash-on-cash multiple in line with our target returns
