Rackers1 and dingowatty ... or should I say "you two dopes escaped from your institution?" ... If your handlers were aware that the two of you were out of your custodial care - the police would most likely be looking for you both.

You are absolutely right KCR. The GeoCosmo contract is more or less worthless from a financial point of view. But it smacks of desperation and poor diligence that Arria would even enter into such a deal and then trumpet what a wonderful deal it is. And let's not even bother dealing with Austrader's false assertions that the deal was with "a division of NASA"....

If you're in any doubt about the potential serious legal ramifications involved in advice about earthquake forecasting look no further than the fallout from the 2009 L'Aquila quake in Italy:

Hi dingowatty / rackers 1

Many thanks for what you have posted above and your insight on scientists ability (or not ) to predict earthquakes. It is not something I know anything about so many thanks for that.

I do not believe I have the mental capacity or time to become an expert so I will sit on the fence as to whether you are correct or those in the industry who make such claims are correct.

With regard to its impact on Arria, once again I do not believe it is worth me looking into it too much, as at some point I will come up against a confidential contract between Arria and GeoCosmo which is likely to have all sorts of indemnity agreements written into it. I would certainly hope so anyway.

I also, and this is just a personal view, do not believe this particular contract will be of any major value to Arria financially speaking, but moreover a means of showcasing the diversity of their software.

With all of the above in mind I am fairly comfortable with whatever confidential and financial agreement Arria have come up with, with Geocosmo, and remain more interested in the mainstream software they have just brought to market, will bring to market in the future, and previous years contracts signed with the likes of Genpact.

Moreover, and as I have said previously, my primary interest at the present time is hearing news of a successful fund raise at whatever the appropriate price is for the investors who will be ensuring the longevity of the business.

You may think me foolhardy with regard to any of the points above, however I hope you appreciate the logic behind them.

Regards and thanks again for the information.
