21/12/2006 09:53 | looking promising now, broke past recent high, voting rights, this is happening / happened at a few that are in takeover talks or rumour of talks, 80p would be my target price, to start. With top target of 95p. dyor regards active | srpactive

13/12/2006 21:37 | Well, AMR seems to have done well since I last looked in. What did I say?......I told the derampers that this was a sound stock. And what did they do? Trashed the thread and the stock. What a bunch of muppets. | loverat
12/12/2006 07:17 | ah - a confident trading statement this morning | tompion
11/12/2006 20:07 | Was Armour tipped somewhere over the weekend after the new contract - a lot of smallish puchases today? | tompion
07/12/2006 18:07 | ah new contract | tompion
07/12/2006 17:05 | Anyone know what is happening here? Strange behaviour for a 'doomed' stock? | tompion
05/11/2006 18:09 | Rally, I noticed that. I believe that the home division is now the bigger at around 60% of the business, but I am not sure of this. It would have been interesting to have seen some sort of breakdown of the numbers. Perhaps the company thought it would have been confusing because of the impact of the acquisition or perhaps they did not want to show us some terrible automotive numbers. MJ | mjcrockett
05/11/2006 16:39 | Interesting that the final figures dont appear to have a breakdown between the automotive and home automation divisions. Anyone have a theory on that or the figures ? R | rally
02/11/2006 15:28 | back through the 200ma and a positive statement with the dividend still being paid, it will do for me, dyor regards active | srpactive
17/10/2006 16:10 | it worries me too, the loss of all these contracts | callumross
17/10/2006 15:55 | What's that about Rally? | mjcrockett
11/10/2006 21:13 | Loverat - 4 Nov'05 - 16:58 - 19 of 185 I genuinely feel this is one of the better stocks on AIM. My interest in this is long standing and genuine. I have set up this thread to make posters more aware of AMR and to get peoples views. Loverat - 11 Oct'06 - 20:38 - 4101 of 4105 (premium) Oh and wasn't it you VS who told me off for pumping and dumping AMR? I bought it at 40p, I then pumped it, then I dumped it at 58p... Easy money..... | vs
03/10/2006 21:43 | mmmmmm With the Home Automation division having lost both Helvar and Imerge Distribution agreements over the last 8 weeks one wonders why ? R | rally
21/9/2006 12:40 | yes my money is on MBO, mr. dexter has tried it before, dyor regards active | srpactive
21/9/2006 11:43 | Nice little tick up today. No huge trades reported yet and it is a while til the results. So perhaps there is some news in the offing. MJ | mjcrockett
12/9/2006 13:17 | like you mjcrockett I am surprised at the current price as we are on a last year p/e of 8 and a prospective p/e of 7, which for a company that is dominant in its sector and well run to boot is far too low. Guess it's just a lack of appetite for the shares given the lowered forecasts and a tough consumer environment but the announcement that results will be in line should underpin confidence and reduce the risk in holding the shares and surely the statement would have warned for the current year if things had further deteriorated | callumross
12/9/2006 11:08 | "Armour Group plc has traded as anticipated and accordingly, results for the year to 31 August 2006 will be in line with the current market expectations." Sharescope shows forecast EPS for the year just ended at 4.24p rising to 4.97p next year. Share must be cheap at 36p! MJ | mjcrockett
02/9/2006 11:17 | I think the explanation of the apparent increase from 1 to 12 million shares is that "Southwind" is a trust set up for the Morton children, and Mrs. Morton holds shares in her own name. Two different holders. Re post number 82 | eddyamber

27/8/2006 23:22 | u d Thank you for pointing out the Southwind/Bob Morton connection which I had overlooked. Surprisingly the RNS announcing the Morton family personal stake doesn't mention their further substantial interest via Southwind and similarly in the Southwind RNS there isn't any mention of the private holding. Southwind were shown in the AMR 31.08.04 Report and Accounts as having a 16.3% holding and this had increased to 17.5% by the time of the the 31.08.05 Report. Although there has not been a massive increase recently, there have been steady additions over the last year -i.e.: RNS 04.08.05 +250,000 to 9.39m RNS 07.02.06 +1,200,000 to 10.79m RNS 06.07.06 to 11.04m RNS 25.08.06 to 12.39m (18.11%) It is pleasing to see that the Mortons personally added 500,000 on 25.05.06 in addition to the latest purchase of 210,000 shares on 20.07.06. Furthermore, George Dexter, Chief Exec, has added twice this year (54,000 on 06.02.06 and 30,000 on 25.05.06) to take his holding to 1,349,146 (1.97%). Faith in AMR's future is being shown by these two senior board members and we should be comforted also by Bob Morton's reputation as a "company doctor" and "turn around specialist". | iroll
