But without an increased resource another ball mill would only shorten mine life

We seem to be treading water inspite of gold hitting year highs and 1/4 production ahead of target, needs to play catch up soon, most other goldies are keeping pace with spot prices.

Good post on LSE.

"Just looking at the prices, Q1 Average gold price was about $1310, Q2 about $1315 and Q3 so far about $1410 - so that's a substantial rise so far. Silver was Q1 - $15.30, Q2 $14.90 and Q3 so far - $15.15.

Q2 Gold Revenue - $8.47mn
Q2 Silver Revenue - $1.24mn
Total - $9.71mn

Q1 Gold Revenue - $9.56mn
Q1 Silver Revenue - $1.29mn
Total - $10.85mn

Total 2019 Revenue to date - $20.56mn

Assuming same for H2, 2019 Revenue $41.12mn v 2018 $29.25mn
or Up 71% year on year
The forward guidance put out stated 25000 oz which equates to $35mn (add $5mn for the silver), on the present trajectory, the mine will overshoot the guidance by $1.12mn

That looks good to me."

Lee - I think the tracking of PMs is coincidental as AAU has achieved some quite significant milestones in the past 3 years.

Silver $16 and going higher, expect like yesterday gold will pop the highs aswell.

Strange AAU still unmoved.

All markets have traders but you certainly get the impression that AIM has more than most and, as such and combined with the relatively lower market capitalisations, the impact on the share price can be greater (both up and down). Adding complexity is the fact that there are many types of traders with differing time frames and investment criteria! It all makes a market so fundamentals investors shouldn't be too concerned by the day to day movements. What should be of interest is when those fundamentals shift.

biggles and JC both make valid points. Some might ask what is the point of investing if you are never going to make a withdrawal? I was always taught that investing is akin to saving and you didn't withdraw unless you really needed the money. Today people don't do so much investing but instead they trade. If you look at it that way I suppose it's fair to say we will always have sellers no matter how well the company does. We can but hope there are more buyers than sellers.

There will always be people selling no matter what the situation. Even if an offer came in for 10p there would be people selling for 8p. It's what makes a market.

Silver and gold heading into new highs, you would expect recent 2.5p-2.6p highs to break on AAU aswell.

I would argue given weather they have performed exceptionally well, rate is at all time highs which is nice to see.

Gold moving higher.

As discussed the subdued production is not surprising although the increased silver production is. The latter will help costs and average price, though since gold is sold throughout the quarter at spot price, not at the and of the quarter, we can expect fairly subdued financial result (quarter on quarter). Last 2 RNS' are not as bullish as we have come to expect, it is pleasing to see the lack of negative reaction in the share price There is some strength at this level.
