Personally, I would prefer that they stuck to gold. I tend to choose my miners according to the commodity. A multi-commodity miner tends to be somewhat less volatile but that is exactly the exposure I am looking for.

They may not have waited years. They may just have bought in a few months ago and sold out with a 50-70% profit. I wouldn't worry about it. It takes buyers and sellers to make a market.

I would imagine that if you have been holding since the sub 1p days then a 100% profit seems quite attractive.

Considerably higher than here. We should have a better view of Salinbas as well by then. Any drill results similar to 'you know what' and who knows where we will be.

For the sake of discussion..if gold price going back up at average $1500/oz...Ariana will get profit of $25m per year from April next year. Where our market cap should be?? Mind you we are only at measly £21m market cap.

Another little jump. Let's see if we can get clear of 2p this time around. This is about the seventh attempt since mid 2016 to breach it definitively.

Not sure what point you are trying to make sleveen. Is it a surprise if the cash remains in Turkey? After all, the cash generated from the JV is being used to fund further exploration in Turkey and I would expect this to take precedence over returning funds to shareholders (although if the price of gold does breakout convincingly then there may well be excess funds to provide to shareholders and they should do so in this case).

I forgot about the dividends. Yes, I don't think they would have hung that carrot out there if it's going to be too far into the future. Must be a serious consideration now, or at any rate once the loan is paid off, when they'll be rolling in cash. A great position to be in.

It can't be overstated how fantastic a performance this has been, to produce such a profitable enterprise in the face of the longest period of negative sentiment in precious metals for many a year. An amazing team effort.

What's not to like?

Try reconciling the P&L with the cash flow statement.

The cash remains in Turkey.


And some talk about JLP being smoke and mirrors.

And for the first time official mention of possible dividends. They must be pretty confident the cash is about to roll in.

It's nice to see the Chairman making a definitive and confident reference to shareholder value and the teams focus upon delivering it. We know that management never forecast anything that they're not confident they can back up, so that's good to hear, finally.

I also think that once we finally leave behind 2p, we could get a nice little surprise to the upside here. 2p has proved formidable resistance, but once it's broken there's clear air all the way to 5p+. This next bull move in both the metals and their shares is in my opinion going to be one characterised by upside surprises.
