Dont think that the interims due 2nd August are driving the share price

Reubins on the cusp of holding 30% is.

P.N.E. shareholders must be aghast at the price offered,
will make a great housing estate. Hemmings doe`nt have the cash to do anything else. his total worth is less than the wage bill for most premier league clubs.
Shareholders must reject this opportunistic bid, better to be wound up and use the tax loss than accept 5p per share.

Preston North End about to be wound up? - Is that the reason for the slight increase today?

About time this share got a boost and I like the way it is beginning to shape up.

Used to be a member of Lingfield Park, but since the hotel development commenced (segregration between members/joe public relaxed) have felt reluctant to go racing as their music nights in the summer are full of drunken chavs from South London. So busy, that the only way to get a drink is when someone drops one down your back. Never seen such behaviour in what used to be a dignified members area and the rubbish left behind by these people is like a scene from the battle of the Somme.

Shame the air problems seem to be coming to an end as the recently built white elephant hotel (opening May?) may need every bit of assistance going for it.

Been a shareholder for some time and would like to get out (at an early stage) so race on Arena.........

my gut feeling says that the reubens have entered talks already and a bid cannot be far off.

We are getting a million shares a day going thru, yes i know its not mega but for arena its big.

I imagine with the fears that the volcano will bring to the stock market on Monday, regarding airline shares, manufactoring shares, banking and the like, Leisure shares will enjoy a marked increase, given that the public will have lots of free time wether they like it or not, even without t/o interest,
arena shares could well power ahead.

So good he said it twice..80p would just about cover me, it is potentialy worth more than that. I remember in the good old days selling at 2.50+ But I have to say good to see it as a headline in the DM.

it seems according to the daily mail of today that pontin is right.

The reubens have upped their stake and hemmings is presumed to want to sell for the rightprice. brokers altium say 50p is the price it should be. difficult to put a realistic price for 364 million shares, would love to get 80p 0r above.

Only hope if someone buys them out.
Been rumors about the Ruben Bros for years.
Sell the racecourses and use the land for something else.

I started this thread more than 9 years ago when ARE looked to have a bright future. Sadly this has not happened but the group are survivors and there may be good times ahead. Worth another look at this level.
