It was the new directors who couldn't manage to get the RNS out before posting on the wesite though

If you always look backwards instead of forwards, you'll miss the lovely view in front of you.

This was a car wreck as at 31/12/06 - end of story.

But it's now looking a lot better; as I said above it would have been helpful to see a pro-forma and have a clearer idea of current trading (since half year is already over!). However, I'm comforted by the fact that existing shareholders have risked a lot more of their capital in it's rejuvenation and that they appear to have picked a fundamentally stronger and profitable business.

I'm happy to wait for confirmation of better figures - don't assume new directors and anew business will turn out like the old one, just because it has the same name!

If the Directors bought a few now that the close period has finish , that would help to increase confidence

You lot need you head testing. Yet another shocking set of numbers from Aquilo. Makes me laugh the bit about lack of working capital - now they have some you know exactly what they will do with it - p*ss it up a wall like the millions before it.

most of us seem to think that the company now has sufficient funds available and will come into profit in the near future, will just have to wait for a futher update. the latest half year finish on Friday and turnover should have improved due to extra insurance business

Aleman I think you need to be very careful here - When a company has had this much change forget about profit - Look at cash. The cash generated figure in these accounts was mainly made up of increased creditors - I assume that this will have been sorted by the new funds but I am not sure they have any cash They have had so much change that I think it is pretty bad that they have made no attempt to say what the current situation with the balance sheet is like. Also what sort of outfit puts the results out on the website before a formal stock exchange announcement. I don't really know why I am posting since I don't hold and have never shorted anything in my life but I have a bad feeling about this lot

I think we need to look forward, rather than back on this one; the trading performance was abysmal of course and the balance sheet was a wreck.

However, things look completely different now; it's a shame there is no pro-forma of the "new" business balance sheet though or a clearer idea of current trading; it's a rather weak statement.

But, it's definitely a turn a round story and well worth an investment IMHO.

Should get a more specific trading review at the AGM - will be worth attending to talk to the suits who actually are in day to day control of our money!

Just trying to get my head around cashflow. The company has almost exactly £1m of intangibles at the end of the year and amortises that at 10% which will be £33k for the 4 months to April so I am suggesting cash outflow for the 4 months would be £84k - £33k = £51k. It is a little worrying that IT solutions was acquired for £1.5m and showed goodwill over negative net assets of £1.95m, yet the year end intangibles were written down for the whole of AQL to £1m. They have written off half the goodwill of IT already after 6 months. I suppose it is one of those kitchen sink clearouts but lots of companies put up with years of amortisation depressing profits. The low cashburn and further cost cuts to come suggest the business now has a stable future and is likely to be profitable and cashflow postive in H2. Can anyone that knows the business better than me have a stab at H2 profit?

Vogya, the a/cs for 31st Dec were only signed off by the accountants 29 june 07 and as far as i can see the statement only covers that period.

Page 2 says that they have the Honk kong bank on board plus 1.5million loan from the biggest shareholder( May 2007)

On page 14 of the report it is stated the they have the willingness of a further major shareholder to lend a further 300k

total overdraft fac. 100k
Largest shareholder 1500k
a major sharehalder 300k
total 1.8million
If i am right in the reading of the report, and losses for first 4 months have been only 84K then as you suggested the company should now be profitably
I would like comment from other readers with their views of the a/cs as i am not fully qualified to interpretate them

looks like these were published on the website yesterday, just before market close.. hence the unexplained mark up. Very odd that they werent released via RNS.

I'm not sure I want to go into it any further as I am starting to go around in circles, but minimal loss and more signs of some sort of growth is great news after worries of no results and going bust yeaterday. That tick up at the close of play was indeed a sign of news leaking. I don't see that much more than a few pence upside just at the moment, though. What do you think?

(Believe it or not, I have shares in Orbis, who also reported after hours yesterday and they are a basket case as well - although of a different sort. They are basically a sound company but drowning in debt. Some risk fanciers here might like to have a look at them over the weekend since the market missed their results as well.)

Ah, the group traded at a loss for the first four months of 2007 of £84k. (Beats last year's £1.1m loss for H1.) They expect cost reductions to exceed £300k p.a. by June 2007. There is new overdraft and credit to the tune of £400k to allow continuing operation for the foreseeable future.

It is starting to sound better.

You want to see a stock that is about to fly go and look at ariana Resources (AAU)..Two excellent pieces of news this week.. Mkt Cap just 3million.

Expect this to at least double from were it is today..See what you think its a definite winner...Just a little forgotten at the moment.
