16/4/2014 01:43 | Abryer - I think situation is as follows: UK Record date - close of business 16th April You will be given the chance to buy 2 new shares (Nil Paid Rights) @ 14p for each share you hold. Your options The NPD's are tradable on the market & can be sold. I think, if you do not excercise your right to buy, then they will be automatically lapse and you may receive proceeds (if the Nil Paids have a lapsed rights premium value - not guaranteed). You can sell some of your existing shares to fund the purchase of the new shares without impacting entitlement. However, the existing shares will be repriced on 17th April to reflect the rights issue to about 23p i.e. (41 + 14 + 14)/3 (I'm assuming closing price on 16th Apr is 41p) I hope the above is correct & of some help. | jenty
15/4/2014 11:11 | Hopefully some guru can help. If an investor does not have enough cash to buy qualifying shares what are the options? Is there a delay between record date and funding the new shares, basically can you sell old shares to fund the new ones. Obviously doing nothing is not an option. | abryer

08/4/2014 15:04 | Is there any point to this investing lark, except to create black holes, mug investors and hand over their capital and cash to shorters and traders? | m_n_tomlinson
08/4/2014 11:33 | 6 weeks? we are going into the 11th week | pimpi
08/4/2014 11:24 | An awful lot of dilution to come, probably better to wait until after this is all over and see where the dust settles. Platinum miners have been on strike with the big boys for over 6 weeks now and not much movement in the price of platinum. I have watched this one for years but never taken a stake for obvious reasons but I still continue to keep an eye on them because someday the market may shift and there could be a lot of money to be made but clearly we are not at that point yet. | salpara111
08/4/2014 10:26 | will we be able to buy the new shares or will it be offered only to the big boys? "Following expiry of the Tender Offer, the Company intends to launch an issue by way of rights of new common shares in the capital of the Company (the "Common Shares") to qualifying shareholders (the "Proposed Rights Issue"). The settlement of the Tender Offer will be funded by proceeds raised pursuant to the Proposed Rights Issue of up to U.S.$225 million" | pimpi
08/4/2014 09:31 | Got to be a point when these are worth a punt - if they survive surely at some point the demand for platinum will come back maybe parallels to bombed out gold miners a few years ago which then went up 100 fold. Problem is where is the bottom? | hydrus
28/3/2014 13:52 | I'll say pimpi! | m_n_tomlinson

24/3/2014 07:42 | but it is close to 35 chart support and might have a mini rally soon. | arja
24/3/2014 07:40 | a while since I looked at AQP and I notice the chart looks bad ! I guess the question is if it will survive or not . | arja
10/3/2014 12:27 | Crystalball guess the market is getting their own back and hoovering up all the indigenisation shares on the cheap.. Only when the bag is full they'll let the share price go.. | m_n_tomlinson
10/3/2014 11:16 | Most broker targets vary between 35p and 50p. Except HSBC (30-Jan-14) Overweight 208.00p!!!! Are they for real? What time frame frame is that then? 2020? | m_n_tomlinson |
