Completion of Acquisitions and Placing and Total Voting Rights

Dublin, London, 5 October 2017: Further to earlier announcements, Applegreen is pleased to confirm that it has completed the acquisitions of both the Brandi Group, a 42-site retail operation based in Columbia, South Carolina, and the Carsley Group, a seven-site forecourt retail operation based in the UK.

In addition, the Company confirms that the placing of 8,082,105 new ordinary shares of EUR0.01 each in the share capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") raising gross proceeds of approximately EUR46.9 million (GBP41.1 million) for the Company has completed.

Total Voting Rights

The Company confirms that its issued share capital and total voting rights comprises 89,903,158 Ordinary Shares. No shares were held in treasury at the date of this announcement. The total number of current voting rights in the Company is therefore 89,903,158.

The above figure (89,903,158 Ordinary Shares) is the figure which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company.
