06/5/2014 16:54 | Thanks to Fangorn2 @ GKP page 4 and a map on page 5. 2nd last sentence about delay is a little disappointing. Africa Oil (TSX - V: AOI;OMX: AOI;Outperform, Speculative Risk, C$14.00 PriceTarget) Africa Oil is expected to provide several drilling updates during May. The high-risk high-reward Sala-1 wildcat well on Block 9 in Kenya's Anza Graben is due to reach TD imminently. We include upside/risk of +C$3.31/-C$0.37 per share for this well in our C$14.12/share NAV. In eastern Ethiopia, we expect results this month from production tests on the peripheral El Kuran-3 well (+C$0.78/- C$0.14) in the Ogoden Basin of eastern Ethiopia. Alongside partner Tullow Oil in Kenya, results are due shortly from the Twiga South-2 production test in Kenya, which has been drilling since December; on success the well could add C$0.14/share to our NAV. An exploration well result could come in late May from Ekunyuk-1 (+C$0.60/-C$0.26) on Block 10BB in Kenya and Shimela-1 (+C$0.20/ -C$0.03) on South Omo in Ethiopia. In addition to the well results, Africa Oil is scheduled to present its Q1/14 results on 14th May. We are forecasting cash of ~$400m at the end of the quarter, with the company fully funded for this year's exploration campaign. Africa Oil may be considering moving its listing to the TSX main-list. Management has guided that a reserves and resources update could now come later in Q2/14. We currently include 660mmbbl for Kenya in our C$6.73/share Tangible NAV, (gross). | eipgam
06/5/2014 16:12 | Google translation AFRICA OIL COMPANY SHOULD ALSO OIL GIANTS - BERNSTEIN 2014-05-06 15:12 STOCKHOLM ( AFX) Africa Oil belongs to a group of small oil companies that are relatively inexpensive and at the same time would be a good fit in the big energy giants' portfolios. It says Bernstein report "Energy & Power : M & A Mania " from May 2, except Africa Oil also highlights Gulf Keystone, Chariot, Cobalt and Ophir as particularly attractive acquisition targets for the world's biggest oil companies. The bank is based on the list including key ratio price / net asset value which, according to the bank is the best variable to determine if an acquisition means "good value" . Africa Oil's quota is at this point is set to 67 percent , compared with, for example Tullow's at 84 percent , or 88 EnQuest and Lundin Petroleum 98 percent. The report also lists six shops under Bernstein is possible and that also would mean commercial approach. It is found that Total buys Africa Oil with the aim to geographically diversify in Africa - from Uganda into Kenya where Africa Oil has been a major part of their assets. On this transaction list also found the combination Repsol and Lundin Petroleum. It reminds Bernstein that Spanish Repsol said they want to acquire oil assets in a stable OECD country. The investment bank also believe that BP would be interested in Tullow Oil which is Africa Oil's partners in Africa . Bernstein's report is a result of the förvärvsvåg currently sweeps across the oil sector , which according to the Bank seriously started when Glencore for a couple of weeks ago bought Caracal Energy for nearly $ 1.4 billion . | eipgam

08/4/2014 15:51 | from the TLW thread Thanks to: oilretire 8 Apr'14 - 12:27 - 19708 of 19711 0 0 RBC monthly sector update out, the TLW comments are to expect a quiet month regarding well results although there is an IMS at month end, however they point out a possible key event next month. More materially, we expect Tullow to benefit from the publication in early May of partner Africa Oil's reserves and resources report. Thanks to ohisay for posting it on Fool | eipgam
