23/12/2014 16:17 | Who's the smart money here ? The longs or shorts ... I'm starting to think this is going to be the next Amazon the way it's rerated and valued. | fruitninja84
23/12/2014 11:04 | Chart looking like a flag... Which means I might get to short from much higher when I finally decide to get in. I phoned IG - they would take shorts over the phone... | rjmahan
19/12/2014 18:54 | Quite. If you are prepared to leave an order with IG for filling over say a week, it will sometimes happen. Unfortunately that's not something I am happy to do, as I want to know at all times what my margin commitments are. | m.t.glass
19/12/2014 14:36 | It changes over time with IG, they would accept short dailies a few weeks ago but it's unborrowable at the moment. 73% of clients are short so that's prob why. The fca shows only about 3% declared shorts which has increased during the year but not in the last couple of months. This is quite low considering the high p/e and declining broker forecasts so I'm surprised that IG can't borrow in the market. I always think that IG don't try too hard to get borrow since they don't really want to risk of stock recalls with clients net short - a risk they don't have with net longs. They often declare a stock unborrowable with 80-90% clients long eg concha, which suggests there's lots of small longs and a few big shorts. Their ideal is of course a neutral book where they take the spread and little to no risk. So you may have to wait until some short IG clients close or others open long bets. | dangersimpson2
19/12/2014 10:31 | Spreadex will take downbets online IG will sometimes do so by phone but only if you talk with particular traders there. Fruit - I don't discount the possibility of it breaking up past 285 if some particular news or other factor kicks in while it's still attempting a runup to that level. I have stops set accordingly but remain short. | m.t.glass
19/12/2014 10:16 | Anyone know where I can short this - IG says no, CMC says no. | rjmahan
17/12/2014 16:18 | Could test 285 again imo, I think if we do get a Santa rally? I've been in twice short @285 but closed at 276 both times as the order book fills up with buyers on level 2 around that price ,, if 285 is on the cards again I'm sure to try for a 3rd time for a relatively risk free trade , out at 293 of course :) | fruitninja84
17/12/2014 10:29 | Well, having climbed up to the 285 level (its ipo price) on Dec 8, it has repeatedly failed to get past there in 7 sessions now. That's not to say it won't of course (it's had one-week slides on its way up), but this 23p drop from 285 is a bit sharper than previous slippages. A few ipo investors might be happy enough to have got back their initial stake and be happy to move their money elsewhere. | m.t.glass
10/12/2014 07:28 | This will burn, it's just a matter of when. | lennonsalive
09/12/2014 18:33 | yes, market cap of £10 is about right | pyemckay
09/12/2014 09:52 | This was Questor's take on it, in the Telegraph last month: Since when the price has climbed high enough to close yesterday at the float price of 285p. So far it is failing to get beyond that this morning. A very significant psychological level.. Is this where reality kicks in? I am now adding it to my DOWN thread. | m.t.glass
08/12/2014 22:31 | shortbread anyone?? | gripfit
08/12/2014 20:27 | Yeah broker forward earnings consensus dropping off a cliff, share price heading into orbit...go figure | dangersimpson2

28/11/2014 21:27 | Mind for next year R175 black friday 2015, long Dixons, AO... If one levarages up bigtime in anticipation, a years money could be made in a few days.. Risky but food for thought :p | fruitninja84
28/11/2014 19:19 | Spot on F84 | robo175
28/11/2014 14:17 | 275 resistance? Tried 3 times earlier in the year and could not break through?? I think with Christmas coming strong trading, "Black Friday" ect and the price of fuel down , people have more money to spend on white goods , combined with all ya shorts being forced out and bought back I'm sure this has further to go.. No doubt today would be the best day in the year for AO. Markets can stay irrational bla blah, proper traders would of been planing this trade going long here for a while ;) | fruitninja84
28/11/2014 13:10 | cat................ the best short in the world then..lol | gripfit
28/11/2014 13:04 | £10 within 18 months | cat |
