This was my buy in mrkt cap price and is exactly where i hoped it might be after disposals, redundancies etc. Little IP left with small outside chance but the real issue is where to now. Ora must have eyes on ? buying in mineral/industrial assets with leverage so expect news very soon. imo

They've managed to do that relatively cheaply and with no major fuss as expected. Now let's see what Ora and others have planned to do with the listing and cash now the decks have been all but cleared for next stage. imo dyor

Well cumnor you are more of an optimist than I am - frankly I wish they would shut up shop and return what little cash is left to shareholders.

I think in two or three years we will see a very different ASM with a totally new business and share price multiples of what it is now, still a plc. The fact they did'nt just go for an all cash deal for some of the ip, retaining possibility of royalties and the interest which will have real resale value as and when the product is progressed, suggests to me they have a definite goal and we should start to see newsflow soon as the formalities of winding down the old ASM and reinvesting remaining cash unfold. imo dyor

Good news I feel. Suggests intention to remain listed but with completely different focus, possibly having taken on some private co like o/g or minerals explo and with significant cash reserves and backing of respected aggresive equity partners this could be due rerating thereafter. Also possibility of decent royalty returns (that is all it could ever have expected and not much less than normL) on it's total antibody ip which will cost nothing and be developed by larger pharma with clout to get anything out of it if it is going to succeed. I am happy to see it with smaller sale price but potential for decent returns long term if it's drugs turn up trumps as keeps investors interested and adds value at each stage if it passes trials. All speculation but i don't think ORA will be happy with anything less than 30p exit at some stage. Cash reserves important but backing of respected large investors and listing could take this anywhere. Certainly things happening as we hoped. Could we see renewed asm with much higher share price in a year or two. I think so. aimo dyor

That is exactly why I popped in today. If the company is no longer 'active' and there are no bidders, its reason for being listed must be questionable. A share buy back seems one way to resolve the impasse.

You have a point freddie. But the silence from the company is also notable. No expressions of interest leads to the thought 'time to return money to shareholders guys'.

'Think a merger/takeover is the most likely outcome'

but has the company said that isnt on the cards?
takeover - nothing pending

merger - possible, but you could argue that a merger involves an offer for the issued share capital, just some of it.
'no transactions which might result in any offer for the issued share capital'

Think a merger/takeover is the most likely outcome. The budget was good for
the biotech industry and plenty of these firms are in need of a good cash
injection right now.

very carefully worded

'at the current time' that means 'now but could change at any time in the future'

and all they've 'ruled out' if they have 'ruled it out' is them being made an offer

certainly worth watching

i doubt the likes of ORA will fade quietly into the night

'The rns has the feel of,...'

well, IMO they had no option but for this RNS

I was thinking Cumnor that Ora's plan would have involved an offer for ASM - reverse takeover.
That clearly isnt now the case.
However, could a merger still be planned or not??

'At the current time, no transactions which might result in any offer for the issued share capital of the Company remain under consideration and none are now envisage'

Sounds like they do have a plan of sorts. I wonder if they'll merge with RNVO or AKT
