Thanks for that Greenroom, I am sure you are right. Ant has clearly taken a long time to get to a point where the Mkt begins to sit up and take notice. Major holders have been patient, extremely so!!

Briefest of mentions in today's shares magazine. We crop up as part of the fastest growing share prices table (highlighting momentum) but they don't cover it in the text unfortunately.

They go on to cover 9 of the 28 on the table talking about stocks that have bucked the recent trend. I have notice before with micro caps that those that crop up and are unused as ANTP is this time go on to feature in future editions (i.e. we are on their radar) so we may go on to get future coverage.

It happened with IDG, I've been invested there for a little over a year and Shares gave it the briefest of mentions early this year. Since then it has gone on to feature in their articles on several occasions including being the main feature on a couple of occasions.

Hopefully ANTP will go on and meet (or ideally beat) broker forecasts this year and the coverage will then follow.

This will be driven by news as and when it comes, along with confirmation that it is edging nearer to sustainable profits. If it shows that the Broker forecast for next year is achievable then the current price will be left well behind.

as a reminder:

Late last month, I highlighted what I believed were decent prospects at local company ANT. Last week, I was fortunate enough to speak with CEO Simon Woodward who updated me on their recent product demonstration of the Galio Move product at the major IBC convention in Amsterdam.

It would appear that things went very, very well here and the device application which enables live TV to be streamed direct to devices such as iPads could certainly enhance the company's prospects.

Broker Arbuthnot rates the stock a strong Buy and already has a target price of 60p on the shares, which they add is without any uplift from Galio Move.

Simon Woodward comes across as passionate about the business and appears to be steering ANT into a strong market position aligned to major players. The shares as I write are 23p to buy.

Yes, I agree, and the 100% premium in cash paid for Harvard shows the crazy undervaluation for some of these cash rich companies..consolidate at these levels then move higher on contract news will do me..!!

I would say yes to that paleje. I would also venture as far as saying that ANT would make an attractive acqusition for a larger software player.

Will the proposed takeover of Harvard by the Chinese make any difference to ANT? The deal ANT made with Harvard seemed good news, could the Chinese involvement open new markets for ANT's software?

A good move forward today despite what darrin1471 may think.
His remarks appear somewhat flippant in relation to royalty's amounting to a few pence! Does he know this, or is it an assumption. Of course Ant is not the only player, but 100's working on this product and ready to play a part in the next generation of set top boxes who are aligned to major players? a fact, or an assumption.
Fact-Ant has already made solid progress in the UK with the Free-to-air market via Freesat and Harvard. Equally sound has been HbbTV firstly in Germany and more recently in France. Galio Move should also make a valuable contribution going forward with the next generation of set top boxes.Particularly in light of the reception it has received and the extremely confident tone from the CEO.
As for licensing and royalty's, these are very similar to those of say ARM as opposed to the likes of Pace or Amino which are typified by the much higher gross margins which are in the mid 80's%
The current price does not appear to me to reflect the potential going forward and even after today is little more than the cash and asset position of the Company.

Sure darrin, but are Humax not "in the bag" then?

They are the best PVRs IMO.

I had not assumed that ANT were the only ones who would be doing this kind of thing.

> ANT will earn a royalty of a couple of pence on each stb sold

... as well as the money for the app downloads (or will the STB manufacturers get the money for that?)

A word of caution. The transfer of stb programs via ipad and android apps etc is not a new product exclusive to ANT. DirecTV are due to launch a the nomad product next week that has these functions. There must be 100s of companies that have or are working on this type of product. ANT will earn a royalty of a couple of pence on each stb sold but stb manufactures will have several suppliers to choose from.

Hi Gr78,

Which friend was that?

Lucky to catch this one, found it because of the IG Index Broker ratings report yesterday and had a look.

I like the Humax association and I like the idea of the Galio development a lot (it's something I'd want for my house/tv's).

Since then there's been 2 newspaper articles, so nick of time I think you were lucky to get in this morning for that price.

I had to "fill or kill" to buy my small quantity yesterday.

Is anyone able to answer my question about Samsung TVs' "apps" and whether they may be able to access/control a PVR? You would think this would be something Ant may want to look at?

I picked up some early doors today before being out all morning. Just got in to see it took around 25mins to fill the order @25p - I take it that means not a lot of staock around.

Nice move since then though. I'll be very muych a passive holder - will be reading the board but not a lot to contribute as a bit of a technophobe. Had this pointed out to me by a friend and can see there is a hell of a lot of potential on offer for a company capped around £6m who has over £4.5m in cash and other financial assets and no debt.
