02/7/2014 23:03 | I think some here were expecting a special dividend lol.....come to think of it, that would have quite honourable if the board lol | mbmiah
02/7/2014 15:32 | Picobird, while I may not be as bullish as you, I too am relatively pleased with the announcement today. I am not sure what else they could have said under the circumstances given the last trading statement. The revenue for 2015 is now almost identical with the revenue achieved for 2103 (when the share price was a lot higher) and management are being suitably cautious as still early in the year. It would seem that they are also expecting a return to good margins as they indicate "significant increase in profits" In the meantime travel sold for decent price, Anite now a pure play wireless company, strong cash generation, more cash in the bank and potential M&A.Forward PE also now undemanding if they can return to old margin levels as suggested. It is probably fair to consider that there may be some concern that the wheels could fall off again as they have done before and no doubt we will all be keeping a close eye on the situation. | muscletrade

02/7/2014 15:05 | We had 4 quarters of trading statements & comment in the 4th quarter from the CEO that the years figures would be in line with expectations. So why are people throwing themselves on the floor & acting out a dying swan scenario. Seems plain daft to me ! | picobird
02/7/2014 14:54 | "Everyone knew the figures some weeks ago." ???????????????????? | rathlindri
02/7/2014 14:49 | rathlindri You have to do what you feel is right. Personally I am very happy today with the Anite figures. 2014 is history & yet the company pulled a rabbit out the hat & turned a negative into a positive. Everyone knew the figures some weeks ago. Amazing results considering the first three quarters being flat. Now we are into 2015 & the outlook is a sharp rebound in profits. Why are people selling when they should be buying. Mind you they say that when the punters sell the institutions buy. The network business is expanding, handset testing is back on track & the company not only has money in the bank but could be subject to a M & A. What does worry me is if the present board buy the company, that would be in my own opinion wrong. Mind you the NT always got his timing wrong with Anite. Make no mistake the share price is now poised to move north. Bits of news & contracts will ease it along. Cyclical trading may ease this year because of the events of last year. | picobird
02/7/2014 11:59 | Well I see it like many others as rather a vanilla statement, a little bit dull. As I said before don't think the share price will do much other than travel sideways for the next few months at least. Sold out this morning looking to invest in something with a little more growth but I still think longer term AIE will come good and things are heading the right way. Will reinvest if price dips by 10p or if the next statement reads better. | werty5
02/7/2014 10:31 | At least £15 million of R&D expenditure has been set against profits; I am still trying to work out how much as there are references to several figures. For me this is a very positive factor and I plan to buy some more shares soon if my finances permit. | varies
02/7/2014 10:04 | Pico, if I were you I would stop now! I can only assume that you work for the company's PR agency. | salpara111
02/7/2014 09:51 | Very pleasing results & outlook posted by Anite today. Results as expected which considering market conditions is a brilliant outcome. Profits to rebound. Markets back to normal & 4g kicking in properly. Network revenue climbing. Brokers reiterating targets but it's only a matter of time before those targets increase. Should end the day in the blue or a quid by the weekend. | picobird
02/7/2014 09:43 | Well, despite Pico's constant ramping that was a total non event and I guess that I too will be taking my loss and exiting. Today has not been a good day for me as I have a mercifully small holding in Blnx but had actually been on the brink of doubling up there! I had been looking for AIE on the winners list this morning so doubly gutted to find them on the loosers list instead! There is clearly no momentum behind the share price and I cant imagine what is going to change in the next 3 months that would cause it to bounce back again. The only thing that could possibly change the situation would be a takeover and there has been nothing stoping that from happening for the last 6 months so I will dscount that possibility. | salpara111
02/7/2014 09:21 | I should have bought werty, even if it was just for a trade. See you on the Pace board. another broker: Northland Capital 'buy' target 120p reiterates and Canaccord 'buy' target 106p reiterates. Basically they are all saying that all is as expected both results and outlook | prokartace
02/7/2014 08:42 | Thanks Rath sorry it was not the result we wanted, best of luck. I will keep any eye on AIE to see when there seems to be another nice entry point. | werty5
02/7/2014 08:38 | Sorry to see you go werty5, best of luck to you. I tend to agree with your ascessment, now I have some thinking to do also | rathlindri
02/7/2014 08:35 | Maybe muscletrade but I am not hanging around to find out, even if it goes blue there is nothing in that statement which makes me think the price will be going anywhere much over the next few months. | werty5
02/7/2014 08:32 | @werty5....Could be blue by the end of the day, would not surprise me at all. | muscletrade
02/7/2014 08:13 | I am out banking a small profit. Prokartace imho i would wait for the next ims before putting any money in as the BOD say everything is weighted towards the 2nd half anyway. | werty5
02/7/2014 08:09 | Exactly as expected. Question now is this a buying opportunity? Fincap 'buy' target 100p | prokartace
02/7/2014 08:07 | well, we have our answer | rathlindri
02/7/2014 08:07 | Not well it would seem did not think news was that bad. I am out again. | werty5
02/7/2014 07:57 | Agreed, something of a damp squib perhaps but the words "we expect a significant rebound in profitability in the coming year" give me some hope. It would be nice if this had been quantified but then that is not the Anite way! It will be interesting to see how the share price reacts | rathlindri
02/7/2014 07:48 | I don't think the price will be altering much either positively or negatively. | werty5 |
