I will never forget in 2009, a large pensions/insurance institution started dumping shares in CIU at 200p. Despite the financial crash, there was nothing wrong with CIU, it was a good profitable FTSE250 company. It was just that the pensions firm desperately needed to realise the cash, or panicked, or whatever... within a few weeks the CIU share price had collapsed as low as 12p intraday until they finally sold out. The next day it was back to 17p, where I bought and rode it back to about 90p over the next month... regrettably I sold out, because a year later it was at 500p... yes a 40-bagger in a year!

I am *not* suggesting that AAZ will 40-bag by any means, but there is very good potential for appreciation over the next few weeks IMO... and if gold should start a proper run northwards in the coming months, well, who knows...

DYOR, no advice intended etc

Yes he probably is, it's common enough in any walk of life to be forced to sell something below its value, for any number of reasons...

Bashirov must be a 'distressed seller'... why bail out at these prices?

The 4M trade is shown on LSE as delayed from Tuesday.... so he dumped into that big volume (though it was probably a worked sell over a few days/weeks, as there was not enough volume on Tuesday to fully take him out...)...Seems that the 400k seller earlier today was someone else... who knows... hopefully we are now clear of all big sellers... The fact the share price has stayed up today tends to confirm that...GLA NAI

Yep, indisputably Bashirov is now out! Let's see what happens in the next 2-3 weeks before the next updates, which should be good... GLA NAI

Regarding the 400k sell at 5p. I could not remember what an OK trade is...

And there we have it I was looking for an after hours confirmation. tomorrow and the following days and weeks should prove very interesting. Any amount of buying will move this now, just as long as people sit on their hands this should re-rate accordingly. Gl all

So I've had no takers on naming ANY mining stock with revenues of over $80m/yr and a lower mkt cap than us. Not surprised. Didn't expect any. There aren't any.
As we know that is probably partly down to bash wanting out and as cyber has pointed out probably partly due to the debt meaning the EV is high but the mkt cap low.

So logically and again as cyber has pointed out we should expect mkt cap to rise as debt falls.

I guess we should soon be making $1.5m/month (very conservatively) and so we could soon see 1p a month added to the share price on average just from the removal of debt. Clearly it'll move in fits and starts not a smooth line and it needs bash to clear of course.
Is all this realistic though? How does it compare to a few other companies? I've spent 30 mins having a very quick look around. Here are some rough figures extrapolated from mid year results and some results last year. NAI. Please DYOR and don't take my word for it.

Serabi - £23m mkt cap - revenue c.$35-40m. Profit £5m?
Vast Resources - £24m mkt cap - starting production
Amara - £40m mkt cap - no production
Goldbridges Glob Res - £50m mkt cap - £25m revenue
Aureus - £69m mkt cap - starting production. At least $80m debt
Pan African - £132m mkt cap - $141m revenue. Cash costs of $949 Debt of c$17m Dividend 0.54p

You decide where we should compare in that list.
IMO I'd say the closest comparison is Aureus. They're aiming for 120k oz/yr.

The point is the peer comparison shows just how far this share should move.
Conservatively I'd say it'll be more than 100% higher inside 1 year and should be over 50p in 3 years.
Time will tell...

Money is being devalued round the world.
Interest rates crashing all over, Norway dropped today....

GOLD and only GOLD is the balance of wealth in my books.

Only question of when for the next jump. and $100 x oz would make a huge difference on AAZs profits.

400k (£20k) at 5p gone through as an OK trade. Must be a sell and surely from our friend Bashirov.
