JOHANNESBURG (Agefi-Dow Jones)--L'action du géant de l'ameublement Steinhoff International, propriétaire de Conforama en France, dévisse de 66% à la Bourse de Francfort mercredi après l'annonce de la démission de son directeur général, Markus Jooste, et l'ouverture d'une enquête sur de possibles irrégularités comptables. Le distributeur a également retardé la publication de ses résultats, initialement prévue ce mercredi. Steinhoff a annoncé mercredi avoir approché le cabinet PwC pour lui demander de conduire une enquête indépendante à la lumière de nouveaux éléments liés à des irrégularités comptables. La chute du titre représente une division par plus de deux de la capitalisation boursière du groupe sud-africain,qui s'élevait à plus de 14 milliards de dollars mardi. Le titre Steinhoff est coté à Francfort et à Johannesburg.
