Nice post jwooley, just a shame you never took heed of what the bald one was saying all along.

Never mind, at least you appear to be taking your losses on the chin, unlike many a goat elsewhere and of course you are not swinging from the long rope hopefully ginger Pegasus is attached to.

Best of English ( or welsh) luck with your future gambles, although on form you may be as well to keep traveling.

;;-)

Don't get mad, get even! Send the rest of Harpers stable in to oblivion NAI of course.

99% of AIM directors thrive off mug punter investors like the doc. the type that believe all they are told when the 'heist' is in play, the same type that then believe nothing else could have been done to save their beloved investements and try justifying the companys inadequacies .
rampers like the doc are very subtle when they start on a stock, they are the most dangerous to the unsuspecting, inexperienced Aim newbies that read their posts and pile in with their life savings.

'lol this just gets better! materia medica have now picked up pentlands. surprise! surprise!'

rocketfuel, you make silly posts as if there's some scam
Clearly MM would be the most likely candidate given their involvement
That doesnt mean anything

shame on our legal system that these bunch of thieves are not behind bars.a blind man could see this was all set up.growing business profiting 200k,pentlands running at full capacity raise 3 million quid then do the off.easy peasy.'

Knnylnd - a blind person would be able to see that they were just scaping by with Pentlands and contrary to your clueless remarks, could NOT have grown further without more capacity and WOULD have faced losses as soon as any gaps hit between contracts. That was no business

So, they created more capacity via Cramlington - that strategy would only every work if they got more contracts in. Unfortunately, they weren't able to
They raised money for the collagen business which made ABH more efficient and helped get to sustainability, BUT, they didnt have enough cash to get there after contract delays/issues hit

The main issue is - how hard did ABH try to get new contracts. Were the business dev team useless/lazy or was that just the way things were

Collagen business sold
Pentlands sold (with contracts? possibly sustainable by itself? needed by MMH?)

Cramlington? Could be worth a bit if somebody needed it, but the lack of contracts rather suggests few did!

It wouldnt be impossible for some return to shareholders, but I suspect once KPMG and creditors have been paid, there'd be next to nothing

What ABM should have done is raise more money when it could, which would have given them more buffer in case of delays
They should also have perhaps tried much harder to secure contracts (maybe they did? I'd love to know!)

It's maybe no coincidence that ABH's finance director who has little prior experience in such a role other than another bio that went bust, again saw such a demise?

'no shame! the original story was reported less than 1 yr ago, when the mug punter holders were conned into buying the business for abh.'

eh??
that's a different story isnt it!

If 'mug punters were conned' then it was a bad move, no?

yet you also say

'paid for a new company with contracts ready to go'

the collagen business was bought to accelerate the time to sustainability
It gave ABH a better shot, but that still wasnt enough
It was no 'con' or scam, it just hit delays in other areas that were key to the strategy and ran out of money.

What you could of course say is that if the army of determined derampers hadnt tried to encourage the share price down all day every day, then ABH may have had a better chance at raising the last bridge financing it needed
- but that isnt the case. The derampers here were just clueless bitter posters with nothing better to do and didnt actually have any impact

rocketfuel, you are reporting guff as always

Exactly as the article says, ABH hit cash flow issues
If anything, the sale of the collagen business highlights how ABH made a decent acquisition there. It was complementary and in good stead, but it couldnt alone achieve enough business to fill out ABH's facilities

ABH needed more contracts to make Cramlington pay, but that didnt happen in time

Your remark here is childish and silly

'abh shareholders paid for a new company with contracts ready to go.
go check out these two links'

Edinburgh firm Angel Biotechnology buys collagen plant
The new facility will complement Angel's existing core business in advanced biologics

Biopharmaceutical firm Angel Biotechnology has bought a collagen manufacturing facility in Glasgow as it seeks to expand its core business.
The purchase was undertaken by Angel's newly-formed and wholly-owned subsidiary, Angel Biomedical Ltd (ABL).
The move will allow Edinburgh-based Angel to produce collagen products in the medical device and regenerative medicine markets.
The assets of the collagen business were acquired for £200,000.
The 6,500 sq ft facility includes a laboratory and office suite.
The new manufacturing plant will be complementary to Angel's existing core business in advanced biologics, which includes biopharmaceutical proteins and cell therapies, such as stem cells.
ABL will seek to identify opportunities to develop its own products.
'Strategic advantages'
Angel said it was nearing the end of negotiations with a "sizeable customer" on a long-term supply contract for materials supplied directly from ABL. The group expects other contracts to follow.
Angel Biotechnology Holdings executive chairman Paul Harper said: "The formation of ABL provides significant strategic advantages to the group, and the distinctive competencies offered will provide a one-stop shop for companies in the regenerative medicine space.
"Angel will now have the capability to develop a new customer base with new products in sectors well understood by our business.
"ABL will also provide access to a range of new markets by offering customers the means by which to convert advanced biologics and cell therapies currently being manufactured by Angel into formulated, finished products such as medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics."
